Nissan’s sub-compact sedan is available in three variants, the EL Turbo, VE Turbo, and VL Turbo at the following prices:

• Almera EL Turbo MT – P 839,000
• Almera VE Turbo CVT – P 1,059,000
• Almera VL Turbo CVT – P 1,149,000

The Philippine market Almera gains the bolder and bigger V-motion grille, and a reshaped front grille. It also dons the new look Nissan logo as well. 

The EL Turbo gets standard halogen headlights, while both the VE Turbo and VL Turbo upgrades them to LEDs. The two higher grades also benefit from LED daytime running lights and LED front fog lights. Separating the VL Turbo, it gets 205/55R16 wheels and tires—an inch up from the 195/65R15 found on the VE Turbo. The EL Turbo, meanwhile gets steelies with full covers.

All variants of the refreshed Almera have a carryover powertrain: the HRA0 1.0-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder. This engine still makes 100 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 152 Nm of torque from 2,400 to 4,000 rpm (160 Nm for the MT). Idle start-stop is standard for all CVT variants, as is cruise control.

Standard across the line-up are 6 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and Vehicle Dynamics Control with Hill Start Assist. The VE Turbo adds a 360-degree camera with Moving Object Detection, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking; while the VL Turbo goes all in with Blind Spot Warning with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, and Tire Pressure Monitoring.

Inside, the 2023 Almera replaces the black-and-white color scheme for a more subtle black-and-blue one (VL Turbo). The VE Turbo is the now the variant with an all-black interior, while the EL Turbo makes do without any soft dash padding. Fabric seats are standard save for the VL Turbo which swaps them out for black-and-blue leather seats.

Like before, the Almera accommodates a 7-inch TFT meter within its gauge cluster (except for the EL Turbo), but new for the 2024 update is the 8-inch Advanced Touchscreen Display which now receives both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. The VL Turbo also gains Nissan Connect Services allowing owners to view the status and control certain aspects of the car using a smartphone such as automatic collision notification, SOS Emergency Call Button, Car Finder, Remote Lock/Unlock, Maintenance Alert, and Speed/Zone Alert.

Other features include Intelligent Key with engine push-start across the line-up (with remote start on the VE Turbo and VL Turbo) and a single zone climate control.

The Almera (at least in VL Turbo trim) gets a 5-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty. The EL Turbo and VE Turbo retain the 3-year / 100,000-kilometer warranty. The Almera VL Turbo also gets a complimentary 3-year subscription to Nissan Connect Services.
