The GWM Haval Jolion HEV joins only a handful of other Chinese SUVs to receive the highest safety rating from the Australasian New Car Assessment Program or ANCAP; considered to be tougher and more stringent than the ASEAN NCAP.
ANCAP’s assessment, including destructive crash testing (frontal offset and oblique pole tests), noted how effective the Jolion’s standard innovative safety features, which includes all-scenario autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane support system with lane keep assist (LKA), lane departure warning (LDW) and emergency lane keeping (ELK), and an advanced speed assistance system (SAS). The report also took note of the sub-compact crossover’s center, dual frontal, side chest-protecting, and side head-protecting (curtain) airbags.
According to Tonette Lee, Marketing and Sales Director for GWM Philippines, this is a testament to GWM’s global strategy, and leading-edge technology, that are its advantages as the global brand enters the Philippine market.
“To achieve a five-star ANCAP rating, production vehicles must perform at a high level across the four key safety categories, and are required to meet minimum score thresholds for each star rating level. For example, a vehicle cannot achieve a five-star ANCAP safety rating without providing a good level of protection to child occupants. With the Haval Jolion HEV, Philippine customers get the full benefit of an innovative full hybrid crossover at an affordable price, at 5-star safety” she said.
The Haval Jolion received a 90 percent score in Adult Occupant Protection, 84 percent in Child Occupant Protection, 64 percent in Vulnerable Road User Protection, and 92 percent in Safety Assist Technologies.
In addition to the five-star safety rating, the Haval Jolion is offered with a 1.5-liter hybrid powertrain that provides both high efficiency and high-performance with a combined output of 186 horsepower, 375 Nm of torque, and an average low fuel consumption of 20 km/L.
From the ergonomically designed seats and a driver-focused cockpit to generous legroom and ample boot space, the Jolion was designed with comfort in mind. It is simple yet trendy and modern design is highlighted with a stylish and fashionable interior, featuring an eye-catching 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
High quality value for money SUVππ
ReplyDeleteCongratulations GWM ππ
Looking forward to see the DNGA Yaris Cross crash tested at ANCAP πππ
It doesn't matter how unsafe or low-tech a car is to the average, non-researching, Toyota buyer basing solely on the brand. The company can put their badge on a Chery QQ and it will still sell like hotcakes.
DeleteBut toyota has proven tracked records of reliability/durability thru the decades. chery also has tracked records-specially the QQπ€π€π€. maybe car buyers indeed do a researched and prefer reliability/durability and not easily swayed by fancy looks
DeleteI believe the Yaris Cross being sold in Australia is based on the TNGA platform, so I don't think the DNGA Yaris Cross will see the day being tested at ANCAP.
ReplyDeleteKamote Habal habal vs gwm haval
ReplyDeleteMight be a good car but the name & logo of Haval is downright fugly. They should use the new Haval logo or even the GWM logo
ReplyDeleteThey must be fans of Jojo's Bizzare adventure, referencing Jojolion
ReplyDeleteHaval Jolion is a very good crossover SUV
ReplyDeleteOne of the best and safest in its class
It actually sucks in reality
DeleteNah, it was already reviewed and test driven here in ph by some reputable car reviewer and the results are very dismal. Also very pricy for an unproven brand.
ReplyDeleteNah!Two reputable local car reviewers already tested it and they're highly impressed with this vehicle
DeleteHaval Jolion is cheaper than the DNGA Yaris Cross
Jolion DCT Turbo Supreme with ADAS is 50,000 Pesos cheaper than the DNGA Yaris Cross V while the Jolion HEV is 30,000 Pesos cheaper than the DNGA Yaris Cross HEV
Stop spreading fake news here.
Nah. I'd say if GWM is brave enough to let me have a crack at it, then we'll see.
DeleteThats it...gwm should lend jolion to sir uly to settle who's spreading fake news here. For me i bet it could be a lopsided win for hev corolla cross/yaris vs jolion hev, maybe 10:2 in favor of hev corolla/yaris. Jolion dct vs yaris cross v, 10:4 in favor of yaris. Jolion will win only on space aspects, all other aspects it could be a massacreπππ
DeleteThe Jojolion is an underdeveloped car. Kulang yan sa R&D budget for sure.
