Hyundai Motor Philippines (HMPH) will once again roll out permanent mall-based showrooms called, “City Stores” in a bid to widen its reach with more convenient and digitalized retail stores.
Anchored to a traditional full-service 3S dealership, the City Store concept focuses on offering an interactive and tangible brand experience by using technology such as augmented reality. It also offers a new car display, customer waiting lounge, and even sales consultation rooms—all located conveniently in the middle of a shopping mall. Some locations even offer complimentary EV charging.
In Indonesia, the Hyundai City Store concept has expanded already to five locations with plans to expand it further to ten. In the Philippines, the City Store concept was rolled out in Cebu under Hyundai’s former Philippine distributor, Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc.
Now, under HMPH, the Hyundai City Store will make a comeback. HMPH has so far identified three locations—one in Luzon, one in Visayas, and one in Mindanao.
