JAZA's Son, Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, Is New AC Motors Head

Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala, son of Ayala Corporation chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, is now heading AC Motors—the umbrella organization that distributes brands such as Honda, Volkswagen, Isuzu, Kia, Maxus, KTM, and Husqvarna starting August 1.

In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Ayala Corporation said Alfonso has been seconded to AC Industrials Technology Holdings, the emergent technologies company of the Ayala Group.

AC Motors Group is part of AC Industrials Technology Holdings, together with the global manufacturing and enabling technologies businesses.

Alfonso will be leaving his post in Ayala Corp. as the co-head of Corporate Strategy Group, head of Business Development and Digital Ventures and member of the company’s management committee.

He will be succeeded by Mark Robert Uy, who has over a decade of investment banking experience, more recently as Credit Suisse’s country manager and head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets in the Philippines.

The move is part of the Ayala Group’s reorganization.

Separately, AC Motors will announce the distributorship of a new automotive brand next week.
