Toyota Motor PH Says Stocks Are Beginning To Normalize, But Reminds Customers To Be Wary

Toyota Motor Philippines says that they’ve put the challenges of the chip shortage behind them and that stocks (for most vehicles) are starting to normalize. However, they admit that some vehicles such as the Hiace Super Grandia pictured above, continue to have limited stocks.

As such, Toyota Motor Philippines is reiterating the following to assure everyone of a smooth vehicle acquisition journey:
  • Please transact only through Toyota Motor Philippines authorized dealerships. It would be best to visit your nearest showroom so you can be assisted by their certified marketing professionals.
  • Visiting the dealerships also lets you easily make payment transactions through authorized cashiers equipped to issue your official receipt.
  • Be wary of speaking with people online who claim to be dealer representatives. The official Facebook Messenger accounts of Toyota dealerships are listed on their online directory.
  • Likewise, trust only the official channels of TMP and its authorized dealerships for information on sales promos like discounts and special payment terms.
For customers who’re in need of any clarification or assistance, TMP’s Customer Assistance hotline is ready to answer inquiries. Contact them via +63 2 8819 2912 or email them at customerassistance [at] toyota.com.ph.

  1. Online scamming is a real thing nowadays. Be careful.

  2. Unlikely to stop abusive hoarders and salespeople.
Only way to stop those people are by severely punishing them by paying massive fines,
But it seems Toyota dealers benefit from these too as hoarders are paying in TFS and also buying extra vehicles like Innova and Vios in order to avail of the units they want to hoard.

  3. Why be scammed by online fakes when Toyota sales agents are more than willing to scam you in person?

    1. Forcing car buyers to pay in TFS with additional "Top Up" payments!Typical Toyota dealership practice now.

    1. Buyers must have the freedom to choose what car they want to buy and under what type of payment option.

  5. Lol even official sales people are guilty on the practice of Financing-only or Financing-priority for hot models like the LC300 and Hiace Grandia.
Dealers also recognize such agents by giving them a certificate "Top in Financing" for the month or something like that. Disgusting explicit dealer and agent behavior.

  6. When Biden along with South Korea, Japan and the Netherlands started the Chip Wars restriction against China, the world's biggest supplier for germanium and gallium critical for Chip manufacturing) the seChinese are receiprocating the gesture by curtailing the aforementioned essential raw materials export to these countries. So unless Japan can source out these 2 important raw aterials out of thin air, the fallout from all of this is going to be a shortage of automobile production from Japan, SOKOR and the USA.

  7. They released a statement because their sales are dropping with people switching to brands that don't have these issues. Why would you 4m to 5m for a Grandia Elite when you can just buy a Staria for less and no wait times.

Meanwhile in Japan, probably no significant impact in SEA since we are sourcing from Thailand and Indonesia. Except for landcruisser and alphard maybe.

    1. Toyota already responded to that. Seems there will be no impact and adding another shift or adjusting shift will allow them to catch up.

  10. Remember when the fortuner and the Rav 4 was launch way back early 2000's dealers would prefer in house financing over cash or pre approved loans
