It looks like Chery Auto Philippines is readying to get into the battery electric vehicle (BEV) game very soon. As proof, Chery International is set to ship a batch of sample units to the Philippines soon.
Still covered and shrouded in mystery, the three New Energy Vehicles look to be crossovers. Whatever these models turn out to be, they are part of Chery’s bid to update their New Energy Vehicle (NEV) offerings. The offerings are made up of two battery electric vehicles and one plug-in hybrid vehicle.
Following Chery’s launch of its hybrid models in the country, Chery eyes to incorporate green power to its upcoming model offerings to provide its Filipino customers more energy-saving and sustainable vehicles.
In a report released early September, Chery Holding Group logged a total of 1,063,157 vehicle sales from January to August. This translates to a year-on-year sales increase of 42 percent, exceeding one million sales for the year.
One of Chery Group’s sales drivers is the Tiggo 8 with 21,369 units sold. Meanwhile, in the first half of 2023, Chery’s product sales in the Philippine market increased by 8 percent.

ReplyDeleteBeware of buying EV unit. After 8years of warranty expiration, the Car must be sold immediately otherwise it's useless because battery replacement is very expensive at 800k . May be that time battery Cost morethan the resale value of your car. It's not time to buy EV.
