Mazda Tweaks CX-3 For 2024 With More Connectivity Features

Mazda Philippines isn’t ready to throw in the towel with regards to its sub-compact SUV, the CX-3. In fact, for the 2024 model year, they’ve tweaked its specs yet again while also cutting its number of variants from two to one.

In 2023, they brought in two variants of the CX-3—the CX-3 Activ and the CX-3 Sport. It seems, however, that the entry-level Activ wasn’t as well received as Mazda Philippines had hoped so they culled it in favor of the solitary 2024 CX-3 Sport.

Priced at P 1,510,000—or P 20,000 up from last year, the 2024 CX-3 Sport gets a tweak in its specifications including the addition of a powered lumbar support for the driver’s seat (for a total of 10 ways of powered movement), wireless Apple CarPlay, and a wireless device charger.

These new features are on top of the features found in the outgoing CX-3 Sport model including: diamond cut 18-inch alloy wheels, gray suede and aluminum interior accents, leather seats, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 360-degree camera, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert.

Exterior-wise, the 2024 CX-3 remains unchanged, but it does come in a new color: Aero Gray—the new color that also made its debut on the 2024 Mazda2. The other shades are Soul Red Crystal, Machine Gray, Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Platinum Quartz, and Jet Black.

Powering the 2024 CX-3 Sport is Mazda’s 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine. This powerplant makes 150 horsepower and 195 Nm of torque running on 91 to 95 RON gasoline. It’s mated to a 6-speed automatic with Sport mode driving the front wheels.

  3. Mazda is out of their mind with their premium pricing in these refreshed models that aren't premium to begin with.
Sure, in the CX-60 it's justified. Just not in these aging entry-level models.
