Mazda has released a partially improved version of its CX-30 compact crossover for 2024. Launching first in its home market of Japan this October, these updates could very well make their way to global markets including the Philippines soon.
For 2024, the CX-30 adopts the improvements first seen in the 2024 Mazda3. These include a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen (up from 8.8 inches) along with the addition of wireless CarPlay (Android Auto remains wired) and wireless device charging. Moreover, the USB Type A ports have been swapped out with illuminated USB Type C ones.
Two new colors—Ceramic Metallic and Zircon Sand Metallic join the palette, with the latter being part of the “Retro Sports Edition” line. Similar to the U.S. Carbon Sport Edition, this particular CX-30 receives black-colored exterior accents—door mirrors, wheels, and grille along with terracotta-colored stitching and a suede-like material in the seat center and instrument panel.
Safety-wise, the 2024 CX-30 now has pedal misapplication prevention in both forward and rearward direction. The front system can additionally detect pedestrians as well. The driver monitoring system has also been tweaked to better detect driver inattentiveness.

ReplyDeleteIt is already being offered for the 2WD variant. You can still order the non-hybrid for the same price, but that one's an AWD.

DeleteOh correction. Mazda PH already discontinued the Mazda CX-30 AWD. So basically, there's the M Hybrid at P 1,990,000 and the FWD Sport for P 1,790,000 now.

DeleteIf you're after looks, craftsmanship, driving feel, the CX-30 is hard to beat.
If you're after something more utilitarian--like something you can take over rough roads, the Crosstrek is better suited for that.
Want something economical? Corolla Cross Hybrid. Fast? Honda HR-V RS.
The segment is full of great choices so it's best to know what you want. We can help you with that, but it's great to know what you want in your new compact crossover too.

I'm contemplating purchasing the CX-30, but with the current availability limited to the M Hybrid version, I'm deliberating whether to proceed with the M Hybrid sourced from (sourced from Japan?) or await the potential arrival of refreshed units. These updated models are anticipated to originate from Malaysia, featuring CKD CX-30s with FWD and 2.0 engines exclusively. While it's speculative, my understanding suggests that we frequently acquire units from Mazda.
