Mercedes-Benz PH Launches 2024 EQA, EQB, EQE (w/ Brochure)

Mercedes-Benz may be late to the premium BEV space in the Philippines, but they’ve now managed to catch up big time with the introduction of not just one, but three battery electric vehicles: the EQA, the EQB, and the EQE.

Available for retail sale and service across all Mercedes-Benz dealerships nationwide, the Mercedes-Benz EQ line-up signify a vision for the future where sustainability and luxury are seamlessly intertwined.

Mercedes-Benz EQA

The EQA represents the entry-level model in Mercedes-Benz Philippines’ all-electric line-up. A close relative of the GLA, the EQA swaps its internal combustion engine for a 190 horsepower, 385 Nm electric motor. Driving the front wheels, it enables this compact crossover to reach 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and a top speed of 160 km/h. A 66.5-kWh battery helps it achieve a maximum cruising range of 486 kilometers. It can be charged using a three-phase AC charger at a rate of 11-kWh.

The solitary variant, the EQA 250 Electric Art features a black radiator grille with a central star, 19-inch light alloy wheels, LED headlights with EQ-specific energy blue elements, smart keyless entry, and a hands-free power tailgate. The all-digital cockpit offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through its MBUX infotainment system. Wireless charging is standard, while ambient lighting and rose gold accents offer an air of distinction. Other standard features include automatic climate control, Artico man-made leather in a two-tone finish, and a 40/20/40 split-folding rear seat.

In terms of safety, the EQA comes with Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, and a reversing camera.

Pricing for the EQA 250 Electric Art is at P 3,990,000.

Mercedes-Benz EQB

Moving up, there’s the EQB. Compact on the outside, the EQB’s impressive packaging means room up to seven aboard.

Sharing the same engine as the EQA, the EQB gets a single motor system delivering 190 horsepower and 385 Nm of torque. The 66.5 kWh battery nets 474 kilometers of range. 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds, while top speed is 160 km/h.

The EQB interprets Mercedes-Benz’s Progressive Luxury design ethos with its full-width LED light strip at the front and back. The fiber optic strip connects the DRLs to the full LED headlights, while blue highlights within the lamps itself reinforce its environmentally friendly performance. 19-inch light alloy wheels, aluminum roof rails, and surround lighting with a brand logo projection complete the exterior highlights. Inside, the EQB receives a fully-digital cockpit powered by the MBUX system.

In terms of safety, it comes fitted with intelligent driving assistance systems such as Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Steering Assist, and Active Brake Assist. The standard Parking Package automates both perpendicular and parallel parking. A 360-degree camera comes standard as well.

Pricing for the Mercedes-Benz EQB 250 Electric Art is at P 4,190,000.

Mercedes-Benz EQE

Finally, there’s the Mercedes-Benz EQE—the latest executive electric cars based off the all-new E-Class. It combines high-quality materials with ground-breaking innovations to deliver luxury for all the senses.

The EQE’s design is centered around aerodynamics with its one-bow design. The soft, tapering roofline, and 20-inch light alloy wheels give it a unique silhouette. The black panel radiator grille with a central star and star pattern gives it gravitas, accentuated by black-grained finished side skirts with silver chrome accents. The electronically-folding mirrors also feature a brand logo projection. The Digital Light with Ultra Range high beam, meanwhile, offers additional peace of mind driving at night. It also helps project messages on the road and navigation guides regarding road conditions or traffic warning symbols.

The EQE also comes with a full suite of Mercedes-Benz Driving Assistance Package. This includes Active Steering Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Attention Assist, and Pre-Safe. The Parking Package with a 360-degree camera allows for effortless maneuvering. The Guard 360 ensures its security when left unattended.

Inside, the EQE combines a 12.8-inch OLED central screen with a 12.3-inch driver’s display. A Burmester 3D surround sound system with 15 speakers is standard too. Connectivity is assured with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with wireless device charging. A heads-up display shows relevant information on the windshield, while Active Ambient Lighting is integrated into the driving assistance systems, and can reinforce alerts visually.

The EQE comes in two variants: the EQE 300 Electric Art and the EQE 350+ AMG Line. The EQE 300 uses a 245 horsepower, 550 Nm electric motor hooked up to an 89-kWh battery package enough for 621 kilometers of range. Meanwhile, the EQE 350+ AMG delivers 292 horsepower and 565 Nm. Its 90.56-kWh battery equates to a maximum cruising range of up to 682 kilometers.

The EQE 300 Electric Art retails for 5,590,000, while the EQE 350+ AMG Line goes for P 6,290,000.
