Mini Philippines has revealed its latest special edition Mini Convertible: the Seaside Edition. Available in two colors: Caribbean Aqua or Nanuq White, only 10 will be made available for the Philippines.
Priced at P 3.72-million, the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition adds double decorative stripes in white from the side doors to the rear, unique graphics in the front apron with a stylized “30” calling to the model’s anniversary. Exterior changes are capped off with floating wheel caps and side scuttles with the discreet “Seaside” lettering.
Upon entering, the Mini Convertible Seaside Edition features door sills with the same Seaside lettering with two white stripes. The lower spoke of the steering wheel also has the “Seaside” lettering as well. Decorative trim strips on the dashboard features a printed pattern and lettering with the same pattern re-appearing again on the floor mats via a graphics badge. The seats, knee bolsters, and arm rests are all finished in Carbon Black leather.
Capping off the changes is a special key featuring a graphic wave pattern and the integrated “Seaside” lettering.
Like the regular The Mini Cooper S Convertible, the Seaside Edition comes with a 178 horsepower, 280 Nm 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Mated to a 7-speed dual clutch, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds, while top speed is at 230 km/h.
The Mini Convertible Seaside Edition comes fitted with Apple CarPlay as well as Driving Assistant. This camera-based system increases safety on the road by recognizing and reporting speed limits. The collision warning and pedestrian warning systems with city braking function also make it easier to avoid dangerous situations, particularly in city traffic. Other notable features include lane departure warning, Park Distance Control with sensors at the rear, the rearview camera, as well as cruise control with braking function.
