The 2024 Velar receives a new grille inspired by the flagship Range Rover combined with the characteristic floating roof, unbroken waistline, and deployable door handles. The new super-slim pixel LED headlights provide a technical, jewel-like appearance enhanced by a new lower rear bumper and dark accents.

Inside, the Velar continues the reductive design philosophy introduced by the Range Rover. A new single floating 11.4-inch screen integrated into the center console provides immediate and intuitive controls for all key vehicle functions. Land Rover says that 80 percent of tasks can be done with just two taps of the home screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto is standard. Furthermore, the Pivo Pro system can be updated over-the-air.

Also new to the 2024 Velar is Active Noise Cancellation which is done via the 17-speaker Meridian 3D surround sound system. An in-car air purification system with PM 2.5 level filtration and air ionization is also standard.

For the Philippine market, the 2024 Velar is powered by the P250 powertrain. This 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder puts out 250 horsepower and 365 Nm of torque. It’s mated to an 8-speed automatic with Range Rover’s trademark Terrain Response system. Zero to 100 km/h is quoted at 7.5 seconds, while fuel consumption is pegged at 10.75 km/L.

Outside, the Velar can be speced in a variety of colors including two new shades: Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Gray. Inside, several color combinations are available including Cloud, Caraway, Raven Blue, and Deep Garnet. The steering wheel accents can also be individualized with either Moonlight Chrome or Burnished Copper.
