Arriving by November, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV boasts of a dual motor setup helping it make 170 horsepower and 315 Nm. Paired with a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine (156 horsepower, 230 Nm), the combine outputs help it achieve a class-leading 326 horsepower and 545 Nm of torque.

The Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV has a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) system and thanks to a 19.27-kWh lithium-ion battery, does an all-electric range of 80 kilometers. It can be charged using a conventional household socket or wall box. And even when the combustion engine kicks in, it can do up to 16.8 km/L in a mixed city, highway setting.

Features for the local spec version include a complete ADAS, dual 12.3-inch screens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power front seats with memory and heating/ventilation.

Pricing will be revealed at a later time, but it’s expected to be above the Tiggo 7 Pro Mild Hybrid (P 1,350,000), but below the Tiggo 8 Pro HEV e+ (P 2,698,000). A price tag of around P 1.5 to P 1.7-million is likely.

Meanwhile, the eQ1 and the eQ7 are expected to be launched officially by the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) come April 2024.

The eQ1 is an urban three-door runabout powered by an ultra-compact 40 horsepower, 120 Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor. It can go up to 100 km/h making it highway legal, while its 38-kWh battery helping it do up to 280 kilometers on a single charge. Using a wall box charger, it can be topped up in as little as 5 hours. Features include power seats for both front occupants, a 10-inch infotainment system, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and EBD, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold.

Finally, there’s the eQ7. Built on Chery’s newest LFS smart architecture, it uses high-strength aluminum and magnesium alloy in its construction. In terms of styling, the minimalist streamlined styling helps it achieve just 0.31 drag co-efficient.

The rear-motor, rear-wheel drive compact SUV delivers up to 210 horsepower and 285 Nm. 0 to 100 km/h takes as little as 8 seconds, while top speed is set at 180 km/h thanks to a single-gear transmission. The generous lithium iron phosphate 67.12 kWh battery, rated up to IPX9K (the highest water-proof protection), is protected by a “dual armor” providing long-lasting peace of mind.

Features for the eQ7 include dual zone climate control, an air quality system with built-in fragrance, dual 12.3-inch screens, and even Level 2+ semi-autonomous driving functionality.
