For P 1.429M, Nissan Philippines Is Offering A Sportier-Looking Kicks E-Power Variant

Nissan is adding a dose of style to its Kicks e-Power SUV with the introduction of the limited-edition Kicks e-Power Sport.

Technically a dealer option accessory package based on the Kicks e-Power VE, the Kicks e-Power Sport comes exclusively in a Galaxy Black colorway. It’s differentiated by full LED headlights with LED DRLs, silver aero kit (front skirt, side skirts, and rear skirt) and a silver-finished rear roof spoiler.

Since the Kicks e-Power Sport is based off the Kicks e-Power VE, it receives creature comfort features such as smart keyless entry with push-button engine start, Zero Gravity fabric seats, a single-zone automatic climate control, and an 8-inch Nissan Advanced Touchscreen Display Audio system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and 4 speakers.

Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Driver Attention Alert, and Hill Start Assist are standard on top of the 6 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

Driving the front wheels is Nissan’s all-electric EM47 motor putting out 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the on-board lithium-ion battery is charged by a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine (HR12DE).

The price for the Kicks e-Power Sport is pegged at P 1,429,000. Only 150 units will be made available nationwide.

  1. It doesnt look one bit sportier to me.
Best value pa din yung base model. Palit lang ng mags, sporty na.

    1. Just blame Renault for making Nissan like that, of course Nissan couldn't behave just like Toyota and Honda for years as a result (since Toyota and Honda already have sold sportier variants of their products in Southeast Asia), and in conclusion I think if Nissan would've made the Kicks sportier and successful as the Raize and WR-V — then while Nissan already has Mitsubishi (Motors) in it perhaps Nissan also should've take over Suzuki (before Mitsubishi) so that Nissan would rather develop the Juke and Kicks as being based on a Suzuki Swift/SX4 platform. (If you remember the Nissan Navara D40 then that's the example of Nissan's product that was also rebadged as a Suzuki and instead it was marketed only in the United States and Canadian market before Suzuki left there between 2012 to 2013z)

    1. Base model for the Kicks? That would be the EL at P 1,239,000. If you're comparing it to the Kicks VE, that would be P 1,339,000.

  3. Why not update the VE with a rear camera? That's more useful to the customer than this cosmetic crap.

    1. Sorry, that's not going to happen and especially just look what happened to Nissan in other Southeast Asian nations, e.g. Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, when the car manufacturer decided to market Nismo versions of Nissan's products, then Nissan would only found out that they're just going to go bust because Nissan realised already that they cannot compete with and be just like Toyota and Honda — just look at the latter two having their Raize and WR-V models to get GR and Mugen variants and there's nothing wrong with it for years. (Nissan's reason not to behave like their fellow compatriots is because its the partnership with Renault would be the blame for that especially even after Nissan took a piece of Mitsubishi Motors meant that only Nissan did worse in Southeast Asia.)

  8. They should have increased the battery to 10kwh or more and decrease the engine size and add a way to charge it at home. 10 kw is good for 35 km, 400cc motorcycle engine is good enough to charge the engine.
