Thailand might have seen the substantially refreshed 2024 D-Max, but Isuzu Philippines is still carrying on with the current version of their pickup truck and as proof, they have come up with this: the D-Max 3.0 4x2 Limited.
Teased just last week, it carries the torch from previous special edition D-Max models, the D-Max 3.0 4x2 Limited carries styling straight off the rugged Boondock Edition. This comes in the form of the large side decals, new side steps, wheel fender extensions, and matte black 17-inch alloy wheels with Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires. It also gets various red detailing. You find that on the front bumper guard, the tailgate, and even the front grille logo (the fang-like grille design has been replaced with a mesh-like insert too).
Premium interior floor mats and various “Limited” decals complete the transformation.
The mechanicals are more or less unchanged. The 3.0 badge means having the 4JJ3-TCX engine with 190 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque on tap. The sole transmission for this model is a 6-speed automatic. Suspension-wise, it does get new monotube nitrogen-charged shock absorbers for an improved ride.
Based on the 3.0 4x2 LS-A model, the D-Max 3.0 Limited comes with features such as halogen headlights and front fog lights, bedliner, a load-bearing roof rail (up to 100 kilograms static), a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six speakers, fabric seats, and manual air conditioning with rear vents.
For safety, it has dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, hill descent control, and a rear camera with reverse sensors.
Only 200 of the D-Max 4x2 Limited will be made available and it will come with a retail price of P 1,580,000 or a P 190,000 premium over the 3.0 LS-A 4x2 AT.
For almost 1.6m, i guess isuzu ph would file bankcruptcy if they put in LEDs instead of halogens..

ReplyDeletePutting halogens on this is a joke
ReplyDeleteI like how the article mentioned that as a feature. 🤣
DeleteWell...it has headlights hahaha
DeleteHi Uly whats your take on this pseudo-boondoc edition? Is it worth it or should i wait for the upcoming latest iteration?
ReplyDeleteTIA!
If there's a Mazda dealership near you, why not go for the BT-50 Black Edition 4x2 instead? Seems better value than the Limited.
