Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) officially launched the Honda Connect app along with the all-new CR-V last September. Honda Connect is the brand’s connected services unlocking a full package of safety, security, and convenience features that enhances the overall ownership experience.
In the all-new CR-V, Honda Connect is a telematics-based (TCU) technology that connects the phone of the Honda owner with their car, offering a multitude of features such as Automatic Collision Detection, Security Alarm, Remote Diagnostic Support, Speed Alert, Geofencing, Vehicle Dashboard Information, Remote Vehicle Control, and Find My Car. All these TCU features are available on the Honda Connect with the all-new CR-V. It is offered with a free three-year subscription.
Now, HCPI is extending Honda Connect on other Honda models, even those not equipped with advanced telematics (non-telematics or non-TCU). These vehicles which include the HR-V and BR-V will have the following features available for free: Emergency Calls, Location Search, and News.
Under Emergency Calls, the user can contact the Honda Call Center, Honda Dealer, the police, ambulance services, or even a 24/7 roadside assistance with much ease. Under Location Search, the user can search places of interest such as gas stations, ATMs, convenience stores, and Honda Dealers – where the user can call the Dealer, navigate to the Dealer, and more conveniently book a service. Lastly, the News feature consists of periodic maintenance reminders and product advisories.
Honda Connect users are also assured of peace of mind with any personal data collected, as these are processed with top confidentiality in mind and in accordance with data privacy laws. The app is also designed for easy installation and setup.
Customers can download the Honda Connect app from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or the Huawei App Gallery.
