The first-ever Japan Mobility Show drew a total of 1,112,000 visitors, according to its organizers, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association or JAMA.
The show, which was held at the Tokyo Big Sight in the Ariake district of Koto-ku, Tokyo from October 26, replaced the long-standing Tokyo Motor Show. The numbers for the two-week show, though impressive, are slightly down from 2019’s revamped Tokyo Motor Show which saw 1,300,900 visitors. Regardless, as Japan’s first major international auto show after the pandemic, attracting 1.1 million visitors could still be labeled as successful.
“Discover a future you can’t wait to navigate” was the theme of this year’s Japan Mobility Show in which 475 companies and organizations participated, representing not only the automotive industry but also multiple other industries, including established companies as well as startups.
In Japan, the automobile and auto-related industries employ a total of 5.5. million people and 8.5 million people are engaged in mobility-related work.
JAMA believes that mobility in the future will become more than just transportation and evolve into innovations that move people both physically and emotionally. Their aim is to partner across industries to create the future of mobility, optimizing their strengths by coming together to drive Japan forward.

Seems like Japan is finally adopting to the software based future as well as electrification.
