Philippines, meet the five champions who will compete in the 19th Tan Chong Car Challenge (also known as the Subaru Car Challenge and formerly known as the Subaru Palm Challenge): Cyrus Corpuz, Joy Paguntalan, Reggie Purugganan, Alex Neblasca Jr., and Chrisley Adelan this coming November 4 to 5 at the Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza in Singapore.
These victors endured the challenge of keeping their palms firmly planted within the palm decals on the displayed Subarus last October 28, securing them a spot in the regional final for one shot at winning the grand prize: a brand-new Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i-L.
The five Filipinos will join participants from other Tan Chong markets across Asia including 145 Singaporean citizens and permanent residents (PRs).
As part of the Tan Chong Car Challenge’s goodwill initiative, an SGD 25 registration fee has been introduced for participants in the Singapore leg. In return, each participant will receive a goody bag filled with merchandise valued at over SGD 25, as a gesture of gratitude and appreciation.
Aside from the brand-new Subaru Crosstrek 2.0i-L, also up for grabs are the Runners-up Cash Prizes:
- 1st Runner-Up: SGD 5,000
- 2nd Runner-Up: SGD 1,000
To this end, Tan Chong is happy to share that we are donating 100 percent of the proceeds from the registration fees contributed by the contestants of the Singapore leg. All proceeds from the registration fees will be donated to Methodist Welfare Services (MWS). Their tireless efforts to enrich the lives of the vulnerable reflect the values shared by Tan Chong.
In addition, I would also like to welcome both veteran TCCC supporters and new fans to Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza this weekend. This family-friendly weekend, packed with fun and action, reminds us that when we come together united by shared values, we can accomplish great things,” said Mr. Glenn Tan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Tan Chong International Limited.
All the registration fees collected will be donated towards a charitable cause, benefiting the Methodist Welfare Services (MWS). This decision to support MWS was made because their values, which include trust, respect, uncompromising integrity, and teamwork, align closely with those of Tan Chong International Limited. Furthermore, MWS’s mission to uplift individuals, unlock their potential, and foster hope resonates deeply with the spirit of the Tan Chong Car Challenge.
