Toyota Motor Philippines has quietly slipped in the most affordable automatic transmission variant of its Innova MPV: the 2024 Innova XE.
Priced at P 1,375,000, the Innova XE is P 154,000 cheaper than the previously most affordable AT variant of the Innova, the Innova E (P 1,529,000).
Despite the lower price tag, the differences between the Innova XE and Innova E are minor.
Mechanically, it’s the same—it uses the 1GD-FTV 2.8-liter turbo diesel (174 horsepower, 360 Nm) as well as the 6-speed automatic gearbox.
In terms of convenience and comfort features, it has a rotary-type ignition system, dual manual AC, fabric seats, and a touchscreen audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Likewise, in terms of safety, it comes with 3 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, and vehicle stability control with hill start assist.
The differences between the Innova E and XE lie mainly in two things: the wheels and lights. The Innova XE swaps out the 16-inch alloy wheels for steelies with full caps. Tires remain the same at 205/65R16s, however. Likewise, the Innova XE loses the LED front fog lamps which are standard on the Innova E.
The Innova XE is available in four colors: Blackish Red Mica, Red Mica Metallic, Black, and Silver Metallic and is now available at all Toyota dealerships nationwide.
Basically, the Innova XE is priced as Innova E from last year. TIL the Innova E today is now priced at ₱1.5M mark. Is reverse camera also standard across all grades? I've seen a video in YouTube where Innova XE now has reverse camera.

DeletePrior to the entry of the all new innova(aka zenix) Toyota knows how cold Mang Juan embracing non diesel engines. Its an all new, its meant to replace, so happend that is not most welcome same as previous gen had. So toyota decided to sell old disel variant side by side with the all new model innova zenix(petrol/hev)

DeleteGoes to show how backward Filipinos are when buying cars... We should not be buying diesel cars already and move forward with gas, hybrid & EV... That's the reason also we do not have the new Vios, heck we even support the L300 which is a 45 year old design already!

But for now thats the average pnoy family can afford and they usually used it also on business. Almost half of pnoys rated themselves as poor.

ReplyDeleteThey should've made updates to the lower range models with the 2.4 engine from other markets it already has plenty enough grunt for this car and would've made it cheaper. offer it in the XE and J and decrease the price by 50 to 100k. I don't care if it overlaps with the veloz better yet lower your prices for b segment cars
ReplyDeleteI drive an innova e which we bought in 2020 for only P1.275 M. Its the best car ive driven since i started driving in 1988. The innova is best car anyone can buy.
ReplyDeleteToyota is showing it can disrupt this segment with an attractive price and pull in any buyers who might be interested in fresh new models such as the Hyundai Custin. Having the production here gives them that flexibility. If you really think about it, Toyota could make an infinite number of variants, offering various levels of electronic and cosmetic features. The J, E, G and V are just their simplified apportioning of equipments for their respective price points.
