Chery Auto Philippines celebrates its anniversary reinforcing its commitment to give back to the community by donating used billboard tarpaulins and distributing food to over 1,000 individuals.
The company donated its used ad billboard tarpaulins that were already taken down to help preserve a fisherfolk’s fishing business in Bulacan especially during rainy season. As token of gratitude the fisherfolk provided 160 kilos of fish to Chery Auto Philippines to which it donated to Kawa Pilipinas to support its regular feeding programs to the less fortunate.
“Hunger has been a major problem in the country. With this initiative, Chery Auto Philippines would like to be part of the solution in nourishing a future, one food pack at a time. With this, we would like to convey that there’s more to our brand than offering vehicles that cater to our customer’s needs, we also offer to pay it forward and feed hope to those who are in need.,” Chery Auto Philippines Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin said.
Beneficiaries of the food packs were the children and elderly of the Missionaries of the Poor, fire victims in San Andres Manila, and the prisoners in Malabon, Las Pinas, and Mandaluyong.
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers (CTC) volleyball team helped in packing the meals, distributing the food packs, and feeding the children at the Missionaries of the Poor in Manila.
“As we celebrate our 4th anniversary this year, Chery Auto Philippines would also like to create a positive impact in the automotive industry by giving importance to social responsibility in its business practices,” Dytianquin added.
Four years since Chery was relaunched into the Philippine automotive market, Chery Auto Philippines is gearing towards making a meaningful difference to express its gratitude for the successes it has achieved through the years.
