Luxuriant Auto Group, Inc. (LAGI) the exclusive distributor of GWM (Great Wall Motor) vehicles adds the Tank brand to its local portfolio and the first product to be launched is the Tank 300.
Built on the TANK platform, the Tank 300 is a body-on-frame SUV in the same vein as a Jeep Wrangler or Ford Bronco. The solid foundation provides exceptional rigidity and stiffness perfect for its go-anywhere, do-anything positioning. This is supplemented by its electronically-controlled mechanically locking front and rear locking differentials as well as an All-Terrain Mode Selector with Crawl Control and Tank Turn Assist which reduces the turning circle to easily maneuver it into tight or narrow spaces.
Powering the sole Tank 300 variant in the Philippines is a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 217 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 380 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 3,600 rpm. This is then mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. An intelligent start-stop system is standard.
The Tank 300 measures in at 4,760 mm in length (wheelbase of 2,750 mm), while its key off-roading metrics are: 33 degrees approach and 34 degrees departure angles, 224 mm of ground clearance, and 700 mm of water wading capability.
For the Philippine market, the Tank 300 comes with a microfiber/leather steering wheel, nappa leather accentuated seats, twin 12.3-inch full-color screens—one for the gauges and another for the infotainment, ambient interior lighting, and a 9-speaker Infinity sound system. Its set of Advanced Safety Assist System gives it Level 2 autonomous driving capability.
The Tank 300 is now available for orders at P 2.678 million. Customer delivers early 2024.

No, he is right. Chinese cars are still unproven. What's proven however is that they have no parts available when you need them.
DeleteIf you travel or work in oman, you will see chinese cars and pick ups there are workhorses.
