Shell Pilipinas Corporation and sustainable real estate leader, NEO inaugurated its latest Shell Recharge EV offering at Seven/NEO Bonifacio Global City Taguig.
The latest addition to the Shell EV charging stations at SLEX Mamplasan and TPLEX Rosario La Union, the one located at Seven/NEO BGC is currently free of charge.
The Shell Recharge charging station at Seven/NEO BGC has two 22-kW AC chargers. And true to the purpose of sustainable decarbonization, these EV chargers are powered 100 percent with renewable geothermal energy. This is Shell’s first 100 percent geothermal powered charger in the world.
At the inauguration, the first Electric Vehicles to charge were Shell’s very own fleet of electric service vehicles used to service Shell staff from Shell Business Operations Manila.
At the event, Shell Vice President for Mobility Randy Del Valle shared, “Shell is already a global leader in the EV space and we are happy to work with our customers and partners across private and public sectors as we decarbonize Mobility and power progress in the Philippines. NEO is a leader in sustainable real estate and shares Shell’s vision of a lower carbon future.”
NEO is the country’s first net zero portfolio of buildings certified with the Philippine Green Building Council’s (PhilGBC) Advancing Net Zero Philippines and the International Finance Corporation’s EDGE Zero Carbon. NEO is led by NEO CEO Raymond Rufino, who also sits in the Urban Land Institute FY24 advisory board.
Would be funny if two cheap Chinese EVs can occupy the slots for the day, displacing the more expensive EVs.
ReplyDeleteHow much is it to charge? Would it be cheaper to charge than to fill up gas?
ReplyDeleteYes, even with the more expensive EV chargers.
DeleteIt’s cheaper than gas for sure but will they allow all kinds of EVs to charge …..
