Hyundai has proven the capability and range of its Ioniq 5 by completing a five-country, 3,197-kilometer journey across Southeast Asia.
The Ioniq 5 ASEAN Tour, which traveled through Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Cambodia, is meant to showcase the Ioniq 5’s reliability, eco-friendliness, and long-distance capabilities especially in Southeast Asia where many people remain skeptical of EVs.
As a bonus, the Ioniq 5 showcased remarkable cost efficiency, costing just USD 116 (P 6,479.30) per car to charge up for the entire journey. This is approximately two times more cost efficient in comparison to driving a conventional internal combustion engine vehicle despite a 446-kilometer deviation from the initial distance expected of the drive.

The ASEAN tour comprised of five vehicles, two of which are manufactured in Indonesia and three from Singapore.
Even during the challenging stretch from Cambodia to Vietnam where charging stations remain limited, the Ioniq 5 had an impressive range, boasting around 50 percent of battery life remaining despite a full day’s worth of driving. It also showed off its Vehicle-to-Load or V2L technology which transformed the vehicles in power hubs—giving participants unique culinary experiences, musical performances, and even a mini cinema.

The amount shouldn't be directly converted to Php. It should be kwh spent multiplied by Meralco rates for a start.

The cost is based on the kWh of the five countries visited by the Ioniq 5 and where they charged. Hyundai didn't give the cost per kWh. As for the trip itself, it took 11 days. This includes cultural side trips and all.

Sure evs are cheaper to run, but how about the time difference. Time is gold. A bike is essentially free to run if you have all the time in the world.

Thats php 28,800 per month on your meralco bill.
