Ford Philippines Confirms Bronco Is Arriving This 2024

After an inadvertent dealer leak made the rounds on social media this morning (which we got wind of first), Ford Philippines has now issued a statement on the Bronco. And yes, spoiler alert: they are confirming that it is coming to showrooms soon.

In an official statement, Ford Philippines says:
Ford Philippines is confirming the launch of the Ford Bronco this year. It will soon be open for reservation exclusively via the Ford online reservation portal at www.ford.com.ph, and will be supported by all Ford dealers nationwide. More information including product specifications and reservation timings will be shared closer to launch date.
As a background, earlier today, Autohub Group posted a photo of the mid-sized SUV with a single emoticon for its caption. Separately, Autohub Group’s management shared the same image saying that it is “coming soon” and that “they are taking in reservations.”

However, after a couple of hours, the post was taken down.

Of course, this being the internet, it kind of stays here for good. With that, Ford Philippines had to issue a statement confirming the arrival of this off-road icon.

Again, Ford Philippines’ announcement is thin on the details, but it must be remembered that Ford did receive the go signal to launch the Bronco for international markets in two trims: the Bronco Outer Banks the Bronco Badlands. Both of these variants is powered by a turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 mated to a 10-speed automatic.

The Bronco is built on a platform shared with the Everest/Ranger but has been stiffened with seven crossmembers. The High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) features long-travel independent wishbones at the front, and a solid five-link rear axle with long travel springs. The Bronco Badlands also has Bilstein dampers with position-sensitive external reservoirs.

The Bronco Outer Banks and Bronco Badlands is differentiated mainly by its four-wheel drive system. The former has a two-speed electronic transfer case, while the latter adds a front locking differential and anti-roll disconnect system for maximum articulation over challenging terrain.

The export version of the Bronco features a revised front profile due to different pedestrian safety rules. Features include an 8-inch partial TFT display, a 12-inch LCD center touchscreen with SYNC 4, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a B&O Premium Sound system with 10 speakers.

It’s unknown which variant or variants Ford Philippines will offer and honestly, it still too early to tell. Regardless, stay tuned for any updates surrounding the Bronco and any upcoming new Ford vehicles in the country.

  2. Hope they price this low like how they priced their USdm suvs before. Perhaps FJ cruiser price range and not today's Wrangler pricing

    1. Highly unrealistic. Heard from a reliable source it's going to be priced around 4-5m.

    2. by reliable source, you mean the internetz

    3. Anon 3:09pm Actually, it's from someone who has a managerial position at a Ford dealership. Unlike you, I actually interact with real people.

  3. Did they fix it already? This was notorious for engine failure, over 700k vehicles affected on ford and lincoln.

    1. US' NHTSA actual words on these Ecobomb engines were: "..can lead to catastrophic engine failure"

Ford US had already replaced 800+ engines covering 2021-2022 models - (less than 2 to 3 year old cars). Yaiks

    2. Ayun! RG the Ford hater who never owned a Ford. Mas maingay pa kaysa sa real owners.

    3. This hardly applies to the Bronco as their are several engine options available. In any case, Ford has already addressed the widely overblown issue of those particular engine failures.

  4. Great news for those who don't mind the high cost of gasoline 'cuz its a gas guzzler.

  5. Any word on plans to bring the Maverick and Puma to the Philippines?

  6. The comments here about engine failures are somewhat misleading. The Bronco comes with several different engine options. In any case, the number of engine failures of the engine in question are few in terms of overall numbers and Ford has dealt with the situation. This matter hardly applies to the Bronco.

    1. Ganyan style ng haters. They will blow everything out of proportion. Tignan mo yan si RG for example, nilalahat niya yung line-up ng Ford.

    2. Not misleading at all. The investigation/complaints also cover 2.7L ecoboost-equipped Bronco, which the Philippines might get.

    3. RG is correct, ford has never been known for making reliable vehicles, gas guzzler it is.

    4. I've owned 7 Ford vehicles over the course of many decades. All have proven to be highly reliable, and 2 have proven to be extremely crash worthy for me.

    5. 700 supposed failures, some of which were caused by their owners, out of hundreds of thousands of vehicles is not a huge number. In any case, look at the recall rates for most manufacturers including recent trends at both Honda and Toyota, both considered highly reliable brands. In any case, Ford has already corrected the problem with the offending engine design, so a new Bronco won't suffer the same failure as a Bronco from a few years ago even if it is equipped with the 2.7L engine you mentioned.

    6. If ford is known for making unreliable cars, why is it still one of the top selling car manufacturers?

    7. Ford buyers dont have reliability as their top priority in buying these macho (I must admit I like the retro design) SUVs but with ticking time ecobomb engines

  7. Hoping that Ford Ph will release the Ford ranger raptor v6 version. Hoping that they can price it like the Toyota Fj cruiser price range. If this will be price at 3million above. Goodluck to Ford if they can sell many of this. But thanks to Ford as they keep bringing in different cars which are only being enjoyed only in 1st world countries.

    1. Ford Bronco is much more safer, modern and highly capable 4X4 vehicle than the unsafe and outdated FJ Cruiser which Toyota axed due to safety concerns about the old vehicle.
Ford Bronco is meant to compete with the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

    2. Fj 1.9M vs bronco 4M, engine of fj is proven battle tested vs proven unreliable engines of bronco. Sometimes too much playing game clouded our mind.

    3. FJ's latest srp was around 2.3m but realistically sells for about 3m after dealer/seller mark-up
