Foton and the sales of its high-value, feature-packed line of commercial vehicles stayed strong in 2023, based on industry figures.
Foton’s sales matched the total industry growth, more or less, which averaged a 30 percent over the course of 12 months. In 2023, Foton sold a total of 2,944 units.
The strong growth reflects the high demand for the company’s extensive lineup of commercial vehicles, led by the Thunder pickup, the Transvan and Traveller vans, the newly launched Harabas Miler light commercial vehicle (LCV), as well as Foton’s light-duty and heavy-duty trucks.
“We are proud to be able to offer the performance, specifications, and of course, the right prices, that Filipino business owners are looking for,” said Foton Philippines General Manager Levy Santos.
“Entrepreneurs, fleet users, and families alike need reliable, safe yet affordable mobility and we have the right mix of value-packed light and heavy-duty trucks with the power, economy, and reliability to suit any need or budget,” Santos added.
The all-new and upsized Foton Thunder pickup truck saw its sales more than double in 2023 compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the Traveller and Transvan line of vans saw a substantial 28 percent jump compared to 2022. Aside from private and business users, both the Traveller and Transvan are likewise widely purchased by local government units.
Foton’s light-duty trucks have consistently been selling well and are a favorite of global logistics companies while the huge heavy-duty trucks are some of the most sought-after ones by the leading trucking companies from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Building on its strengths year on year for the last 17 years and counting, Foton Philippines has established itself as one of the bestselling automotive brands in the country and a leader in the commercial vehicle industry.
With partnerships forged with companies like J&T Express, Shopee Philippines, YTO Express, Coca-Cola, Arrow Go Express, GoGo Xpress, San Jose Del Monte Transport Cooperative, and even various provincial and local government units, Foton is confident of achieving and even surpassing its 2024 sales targets.

ReplyDeleteWith all the Chinese brands, we must support Foton as it is the only Chinese automotive company with assembly plant in the country (as far as I know and feel free to correct me if I am wrong) creating more jobs for the Filipinos and supporting the local economy.
