Changan Auto Philippines, through its official distributor, Inchcape Philippines has confirmed that they will launch the Changan CS15 sub-compact SUV at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2024 from April 4 to 7.
The Changan CS15 debuted in Mainland China in 2015 and was subsequently given a midcycle refresh in 2019. It is this version that will make its debut in the Philippines.
Measuring in at 4,135 mm in length, 1,740 mm in width, 1,630 mm in height, and sporting a wheelbase of 2,520 mm, the Changan CS15 competes in a segment populated by the likes of the Kia Stonic, Toyota Raize, Chery Tiggo 2 Pro, and the Geely GX3 Pro.
Like most other Chinese SUVs, the CS15 is powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 105 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque. It also shares the Alsvin’s rather unique 5-speed dual clutch automatic.
Features of the Changan CS15 include a 7-inch infotainment screen that houses an electronic control for the air conditioner, leather seats, sunroof, and a 60/40 split-fold rear seats. Safety features include dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors.
The launch of the CS15 will spearhead a busy year for Changan which will grow its dealership network from 19 to 29 by the end of 2024.
