GAC Motor PH Launches 2024 M8 Luxury MPV With 2.998M Starting Price (w/ Brochure)

GAC Motor Philippines officially launches its luxury MPV, the M8. After being previewed last December, the M8 marks GAC Motor’s continued expansion into more market segments.

The M8 is available in two variants: the M8 GL Master is priced at P 2,998,000, while the M8 GX Master is priced at 3,948,000.

Both variants come with the same turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine mated to an 8-speed automatic. Producing 248 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, it provides power when needed, be it cruising in the city or on the highway.

Evoking a sense of luxury and refinement, the GAC M8 is dressed to impress. Drawing inspiration from the oriental lion, the grille is reminiscent of a lion’s mane helping it exude confidence and authority. The M8 features LED headlights with functions such as adaptive driving beam and automatic height adjustment. At the back, the LED taillights have an intricate design for a visually striking impression. At each corner, the M8 rides on 18-inch wheels paired with high-performance tires.

The M8’s interior is crafted to offer comfort and convenience to everyone aboard. The 2+2+3 seating configuration promotes a feeling of spaciousness across all rows. The driver enjoys a 12-way power adjustment, while the front passenger has 4-way power adjustment. Additionally, both front seats are equipped with ventilation and heating functions.

In the second row, the dual Captain’s Seats offer a 2-way power adjustment for forward and backward movement, as well as a 2-way power adjustment for the seat backrests and a 4-way power adjustment for the leg rests. Furthermore, these seats are ventilated and heated, complete with seat massage functionality and illuminated pedals. The inclusion of seat position memory ensures that passengers can easily return to their preferred settings with the touch of a button.

The third row remains thoughtfully equipped with a central armrest and 4-way manual adjustment. The 60/40 split folding feature adds flexibility for easy adjustment to accommodate both passengers and cargo needs.

The M8 packs a 14.6-inch multi-functional touch screen with a matching 12.3-inch full LCD instrument panel with smartphone integration, including support for both Apple and Android devices. A sound absorbing front windshield and front- and second-row glass creates a serene cabin environment, perfect for its 8-speaker sound system. A three-zone auto air-conditioning with fragrance system ensures optimal comfort, while the multi-color intelligent ambient lighting allows passengers to customize the interior ambiance to their liking.

Safety is paramount in the design of the M8 with a long list of standard features. These include a suite of advanced driver assist including Lane Keep Assist, Intelligent Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, and Autonomous Emergency Braking. This is on top of an electronic stability program with hill hold control and hill descent control, 6 SRS airbags, a surround view camera system, and even automated parking assist.

The GAC M8 GL Master is available in three colors: Crystal White (Light Interior), Elegant Black (Light or Black/Red Interior), and Temple Gold (Light or Black/Red Interior). Meanwhile, the GAC M8 GX Master comes in Crystal White (Black/Red Interior), Elegant Black (Black/Red Interior), and Temple Gold (Light Interior).

  1. GAC M8 GL Master is more affordable than its closest rival which is the Kia Carnival SX

    1. Small, not battle tested engine. Features - nothing special vs competitors, NO PRESTIGE owning one. Buyers will probably add a little more and just buy a proven reliable prestigous brand and not a low quality, trying hard copycat.

    2. Battle tested? That engine's been used by qst generation GAC GS8 and GN8 for 8 years already 😂
There's nothing prestigious about owning a Kia and Toyota as those are vehicles for common people 😂
Quality of Kia Carnival's diesel engine is bad as Grand Starex and Santa Fe owners can attest how bad the reliability of that ancient diesel engine 😂

    3. No ph car buyers are dumb enough to spend 3M for unreliable, not durable, low quality copycat. I doubt if it can even break the selling well barrier of 5 units a month, maybe 5 units a year.

    4. What bad quality diesels are you talking about? I have a Santa Fe 2013 and never had any issues about the engine. GAC is an unknown quantity here parts are only available through casa.

  2. Big vans, small engines. Seems like something's wrong. Chinese always thinks of business perspective first. In such way of thinking, reliability is not a priority. Making money is.

That 2 liter gasoline engine by GAC is known to be reliable that's why GAC GM8/GN8 is one of the best selling vans in China for years.
Nissan,Isuzu,Toyota and others are also using small engines on its SUVs and sedans for years even if they're underpowered and unreliable 😂

GL Master lacked 360 camera and rear power seats but it's still a good value for money
Its cheaper than the Hongqi HQ9 mild hybrid van by 1.1 Million Pesos.

    1. Wealthy people definitely wont buy a low quality copycat. Wealthy people are very sensitive on ego, personal prestige and dont want to be seen riding a rip off. imagine your golf buddies riding an alphard and you are riding a low quality copycat. - you will be the laughing stocks of your marites buddies.
