    1. japanese automaker has been right to focus on ICE and HYBRIDS. Japan the best and dominated ICE and HYBRIDS both in quality and world wide sales. China has been right to go full blast on EV's since they realized that they cannot compete with legacy brands both on ICE and hybrids. For now it will be TESLA vs CHINA EV's on EV supremacy, legacy brand playing catch up.

  7. No. 1 BYD Dolphin, No. 2 BYD Atto 3..China bashers, Japs and Filipinos alike, are in a state of shock.
I have seen a Dolphin, man, I'm shocked too. The quality, the styling, the specs included. No wonder Elon Musk can no longer hold his admiration of BYD that he scoff at during an interview just a few yrs back.

  8. EVs should have a place even in countrys like ours where there's no or few recharging stations. Best scenario is for it to be someone's 2nd car. Using it for city driving. And, even long distance travel as long it's well a planned trip that accounts for an allowance in batt capacity coming back. Range anxiety shouldn't be an issue in those scenarios.

  9. I have just seen one in the mall. Man, it's surprisingly well-priced and quite nice-looking. The range is decent. There are no awkward angles or misplaced design elements. This is the thinking man's first EV. Go see one and do the math that applies to your use case. I think you'll be convinced.
