The Chery Tiggo 2 has reached the milestone of over one million units produced. This is after the sub-compact SUV’s debut in 2016.
The Tiggo 2 has entered markets across four continents including countries such as Chile, Peru, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and of course, the Philippines.
Designed and built to meet the demands of young consumers looking for a trendy SUV, Chery attributes the Tiggo 2’s global success to the model’s continuous updates and upgrades. For example, the model evolved its design transitioning from classic headlights to the split-type design found on the Tiggo 2 Pro.
Furthermore, Chery says its tailored market strategies also helped by researching the local culture, consumer habits, and market demands of each market it enters. It then makes adjustments to the Tiggo 2 to better adopt to or meet the needs of users in different regions. Among the changes they’ve made include specific fuel requirements or even cooling/heating needs.
Of course, the Tiggo 2’s success wouldn’t have been possible if not for Chery’s collaboration with top tech companies such as Bosch, Continental, and BorgWarner. This has helped the sub-compact SUV achieve qualitative leaps in key technologies and components, providing users with higher levels of safety, stability, and comfort.
