Astara Philippines showcased the launch line-up of its newest brand: JMC. These pickup trucks come with tech and features at a surprisingly affordable price tag.
Set for an official launch at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is the Grand Avenue. Powered by a fifth-generation Puma 2.3-liter turbocharged diesel engine, it packs 177 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Its ZF 8-speed automatic and Borg Warner four-wheel drive system provides rapid response and strong off-road capability.
The JMC flagship pickup is the biggest in its class. With a 3,270 mm wheelbase, it has a large cargo volume of 1.35-cubic meters, while its close-to-2-meter width equates to a spacious cabin. The Grand Avenue also boasts of ADAS along with ABS with EBD, hill descent control, a reverse camera, and more.
The Grand Avenue’s large front grille commands attention, while inside, it packs features like leather seats, USB outlets, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Priced between P1.221-million to P1.569-million, it offers an array of colors including Cosmic Grey, Pearl White, Silver Sand Black, Sandy Brown, and Shining Silver.
JMC will also offer the Vigus—a pickup designed for business fleet solutions. It’s powered by a 2.5-liter 4D25 turbo diesel engine with 130 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque. The Vigus, available in Elegant White, is priced starting at below P 1 million to just P 1.11 million.
