Lexus Philippines Adds Two EVs To Its Line-Up: The RZ 300e And UX 300e

Lexus Philippines adds two Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) to its line-up. After the success of its first-ever all-electric offering, the RZ 450e (read our review here), the Japanese premium carmaker is adding the RZ 300e and the UX 300e to its line-up.

Lexus RZ 300e

The RZ 300e trades outright power for additional range. Its front-driven electric motor is good for 204 horsepower and 266 Nm. Yet, the drivetrain can be optimized thanks to its driver selectable modes with Normal, Eco, Sport, and Range modes. A Custom mode adds an additional layer of customization. Like the RZ 450e, it has a 71.4-kWh lithium-ion battery giving it a range of 517 kilometers between charges. It can be charged in as little as 30 minutes through a compatible DC fast charger or about 6.5 hours using a household AC charger.

The RZ 300e is equipped with the same luxury accoutrements as the RZ 450e such as 20-inch alloy wheels in a dark metallic finish, dual zone climate control with nanoe X, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10-speaker system.

Safety doesn’t take a backseat either with the same comprehensive suite including 10 airbags and the Lexus Safety Sense with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System, Automatic High Beam, and Lane Tracing Assist. It also comes with Blind Spot Monitor and a 360-degree camera.

The RZ 300e retails for P 4,348,000.

Lexus UX 300e

Joining the Lexus UX family, the UX 300e puts an ultra-efficient zero emissions powertrain into a compact, urban-friendly crossover body style.

Like the RZ 300e, the UX 300e has a single electric motor with a maximum output of 204 horsepower. Its 300 Nm of torque, available from zero rpm, makes for near-instant acceleration. Its 72.82-kWh lithium-ion battery equates to a 560-kilometer range between charges. Recharging takes about 10 hours using an AC charger or 80 minutes using a DC fast charger.

The UX 300e is unique from other Lexus UX variants with the addition of a 13-speaker Mark Levinson sound system as standard. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Like its stablemates, the UX 300e is equipped with Lexus Safety Sense that support the driver and reduces the risk and severity of potential accidents. It includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre-Collision System (PCS) with pedestrian detection, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Alert and Steering Assist, Lane Trace Assist, Road Sign Assist (RSA), and Automatic High Beam (AHB) and Adaptive High-beam System (AHS).

The Lexus UX 300e comes in at P 3,898,000.

  1. I'm actually surprised Lexus Philippines launched the UX 300e locally. But well, for those who are more budget conscious.

  3. Lexus Ph should be selling their only current BEV RZ450e well that's why they decided to add more to their lineup.
