During its presidential turnover, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) revealed that they have recorded their highest annual sales volume ever in a Fiscal Year (FY). Sales from April 2023 to March 2024 have hit 81,473 units helping the brand secure an 18.5 percent market share.
Compared to the previous fiscal year, MMPC recorded a significant sales growth of 34 percent from its 60,630 units sales last FY 2022. The Mirage, Xpander, and L300 emerged as the top-selling models, respectively, leading the sales charts for MMPC.
With the higher production capacity of its plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, MMPC was able to locally produce more CKD units and sell 26,139 units of the Mirage and 13,101 units of the L300. The Mitsubishi Xpander (lead photo) has also been hailed as the best-selling MPV this year with its 24,178 units sales volume, as certified by Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI).
Aiming to solidify its lead in the MPV segment, the Xpander has received new features for 2024. It now comes with a color that used to be exclusive to the Xpander Cross—Green Bronze Metallic. Moreover, it has also received a new 9-inch Touchscreen Smartphone Link Display Audio system.
Apart from new products, MMPC attributes its sales growth to the competitive promotions and strategic marketing campaigns they have implemented.

ReplyDeleteThey found a niche with the Xpander that Toyota was not willing to address. That's how they should approach it with the other models. Toyota has so many models that if they make a very good vehicle, it might cannibalize higher margin models. Mitsu does not have to deal with that.
