Astara-led GAC Motor Philippines shows off its line-up, headlined by the Emkoo Hybrid SUV at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) this April 4 to 7, 2024. With pavilions at both the World Trade Center and SMX Convention Center Mall of Asia, GAC Motor Philippines flexes its top-tier design and modern technology to Filipino car enthusiasts.
The Emkoo Hybrid SUV is the first hybrid SUV introduced by GAC Motor in the Philippines. It packs a parallel hybrid system that delivers enhanced performance and stellar fuel economy. The powerful 2.0-liter ATK engine alone generates 140 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque, but it’s supplemented by an electric motor that outputs 182 horsepower (134 kW) and 300 Nm of torque. A two-speed hybrid transmission offers direct driver engagement while helping it achieve 22.2 km/L. And as a full hybrid, it will also be coding exempt in Metro Manila.
The Emkoo Hybrid SUV is joined at the GAC Motor pavilion by two of the brand’s latest vehicles—the all-new M8 luxury MPV and the M6 Pro family MPV. The best-selling GS3 Emzoom subcompact SUV, the sleek Empow sedan, and the premium 7-seater GS8 SUV will also be on display. With all models refreshed in the past year, this makes GAC Motor the freshest, most up-to-date vehicle brand in the country.
