ACMobility Switches On Its First EV Charger In Cebu

ACMobility, the mobility arm of the Ayala Group, launched two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Ayala Center Cebu.

Located on Basement 1 of the Ayala Center Cebu parking lot, the two charging stations are rated 22-kW AC and are available for use by all EV owners whose vehicles carry a CCS2 charging standard. GB/T is also available provided that the owner supplies his or her own cable.

The charging stations are a first for ACMobility in the province of Cebu and complement the recent launch of BYD Cebu, which aims to provide Cebuanos with access to quality, accessible electric vehicles. As of the end of April, ACMobility has 48 charging stations in 23 locations nationwide.

Ayala Center Cebu charging stations will remain free throughout May. Operating hours follow Ayala Center Cebu mall hours of 10 AM to 9 PM on Sundays through Thursdays and 10 AM to 10 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, unless otherwise advised.

  3. Wow, two charging stations in Cebu and 48 total in 23 locations nationwide, assuming I can find them and if I still have enough battery to go there. I'm now very excited to buy an all electric vehicle since I can now charge my car for 3-4 hours (average charging hours) if I'm first in line and anywhere from an additional 3-4 hours if I'm next in line or just 24 hours waiting time if there are 5-6 cars ahead of me. How practical, convenient and reassuring specially since we have a very stable and adequate power supply with hardly any brownouts in the country. Not to mention the great value of electric cars that cost 2-3x than those of traditional internal combustion engines with a resale value of next to nothing.
