Honda Cars PH Opens Reservations On New City Hatchback; Launch Slated On June 14

Mark your calendars: the new Honda City Hatchback is launching on Friday, June 14 at the BGC Amphitheater. To kick things off, Honda Cars Philippines is announcing a special pre-selling offer that runs today until June 13.

Buyers who reserve the new City Hatchback will have their P 5,000 reservation fee waived. This offer is valid at all authorized Honda Cars dealers nationwide.

The City Hatchback will come upgraded with features that were first introduced in the City sedan.

Chief among them is standard Honda Sensing. This adds functionalities such as: Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning, and Lead Car Departure Notification to the City Hatchback’s already impressive 5-star ASEAN NCAP safety package.

Moreover, the City Hatchback comes with an 8-inch touchscreen display audio system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Setting the City Hatchback apart from the City sedan is its ULTR or Utility, Long, Tall, and Refresh seating. This highly versatile seating configuration allows this B-segment hatchback to adjust to all your life’s needs on-the-go.

The solitary City Hatchback RS variant will arrive with a refreshed exterior, new alloy wheel design, and a new color: Sonic Gray Pearl to complement the already youthful colorways: Platinum White Pearl, Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Brilliant Sporty Blue Metallic.

No word on the City Hatchback RS powertrain, but it’s very likely to continue with its 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine. Producing 120 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque, it delivers fun-to-drive performance, high efficiency, and lower emissions.

Currently, the City Hatchback RS is priced at P 1,153,000. Honda Cars Philippines says the tentative pricing of the new City Hatchback is P 1,194,000.

  1. Honda city HB best in its class considering the technology installed to make driving easier and comfortable. Since it's an RS if you can tweak the engine to make it more powerful than regular Honda city. After sale drawback is the availability of parts and expensive compared to Toyota and others.
