After the EV6 and EV9, Kia is expanding its battery electric vehicle offering with the EV3—a new compact EV SUV that will “enhance the accessibility of electric mobility.”
In the first official teaser images shown, the EV3 carries a bold, geometric shape. Though not seen, Kia says it will be matched by boxy fenders and tailgate as well as the signature Star Map lighting giving it a strong, futuristic look.
Overall, the design stems from the same principles used to sculpt the EV9. Kia’s globally acclaimed ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy is the foundation for continuity throughout the brand’s model range and gives the freedom for each vehicle to express its unique character.
Kia also says the EV3 will have outstanding performance thanks to the incorporation of innovative technologies. It will also be more accessible price-wise, especially for customers who are considering the switch to electric mobility.
The Kia EV3 will be launched globally on May 23.
