After announcing an impending price increase on the majority of its offerings a few days back, Toyota Motor Philippines made true on that promise and has officially announced the new Suggested Retail Prices (SRP) of the affected models starting today, May 1.
To recall, the official reason given by Toyota Motor Philippines is the “continued severe materials cost increase.” As a result, buyers will have to end up paying anywhere between P 5,000 to a whopping P 160,000 more for a brand-new Toyota starting this month.
Based on the new price list posted on its website, models sourced from Indonesia—Yaris Cross, Avanza, Veloz—are affected the least, while those sourced from Japan—GR 86, RAV4, Hiace, and Alphard have been affected the most.
It’s not all bad news, however. Despite originally announcing that it’s part of this round of price increases, the Veloz retains its price (P 1,092,000 to P 1,250,000), at least for now. The same goes for models not listed here. Check out our New Car Price Guide.
Check out the new SRPs of the affected models and how much they’ve increased compared to previous below.
It is worth reminding that Toyota Motor Philippines is strictly enforcing a one price policy across its dealer network nationwide. It is against this policy to ask for any additional premium on top of the suggested retail price, for whatever reason.
