Ford Philippines expanded its Territory line-up with the new Sport variant that is priced at P 1,625,000. Featuring a more sophisticated aesthetic, it comes in three colors: Crystal White Pearl, Lustrous Gray, and Panther Black.
The Territory Sport takes over from the Territory Titanium X as the top-of-the-line variant. It comes decked in black accents and trims such as the satin black grille accent, high-gloss black skid plate/rocker accent, fog lamp accent, and mirror cap. A look at its profile shows off the high-gloss black roof and rails, ebony black wheels, and lower guard trim strip, all the way to its black “Territory” badge at the rear adds to its appeal.
Inside, the Territory Sport has a charcoal black headliner and pillars, domino and chalk leather perforated seats, door trims and instrument panel with a high-gloss black painted IP strip with cyber orange accents.
Like other Territory variants, the Territory Sport comes with a turbocharged 1.5-liter with 160 horsepower and 248 Nm of torque. Mated to a 7-speed wet-type dual clutch, it comes with four selectable drive modes helping it deal with a range of driving scenarios and situations.
The Territory Sport comes with safety features such as Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go Feature, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Park Assist, and 360-Degree Camera, to name a few. An added new feature of the Territory Sport is Remote Start using key fob for added convenience.

For the month of May, customers getting the Territory Sport will get the 5-Star Care Package inclusive of 5-Year Free Scheduled Service Plan (SSP) and 5-Year Free Roadside Assistance on top of the 5-Year Warranty.

DeleteAs a Ford Territory Titanium X owner, I'm wondering where I can score that black grille? Will Ford sell it as an accessory? Remote start sounds nice too, hope I can have it installed in my unit as well. I must say, I do prefer the interior and unpainted rims of the Titanium X. The black Ford wheel cap is a nice touch though.

DeleteBy the way, if you're going to nitpick, TMMIN is not wholly-owned by Toyota. Toyota owns 95%, and Astra owns 5%, so TMMIN is still partly owned by Astra.
DeleteOn a final note, most "Toyotas" here are manufactured by Astra Daihatsu. Astra owns a larger chunk of ADM at around 30 percent.

ReplyDeleteWhy always say Made in China is bad? Are American and European cars any better? or even Korean? Kia and Hyundai recently are facing class action suit in the US due to crappy engines that wouldn't last past 60,000 miles. Merc and Bmw in US reliability surveys always fall below average compared to Japs brands. Chinese cars of course, should depend on what brand. Many are probably on the level of Korean brands now but in EVs they're top notch not even Toyota can match them. And I'm talking about quality and tech

DeleteMy iPhone 15 Pro is made in China. The build quality is second to none, not even my Korean-made Galaxy S24 Ultra can compare even though they're both marketed as titanium-built phones. Manufactured in China doesn't necessarily mean inferior quality. People here need to remove their jingoism-tinted glasses to see the very clear picture staring right at their faces.

DeleteThe iPhone is a US-branded Made in China phone so, by your logic, you're better off getting a Huawei or a Xiaomi phone to be 'genuine.' Many brands today produce products outside of their home countries. They either adapt or get left behind, that's globalization. It's the same thing for the auto industry, almost all of the cars in our market are produced outside of their brands' home countries.

DeleteToyota knows for sure what they're doing. Their hybrid tech is very matured already while BEVs are still in its infancy. No need to rush for Toyota. They will be ready and compete in the BEV segment when the time is right.

ReplyDeleteIf you're talking about products from Temu and Shein, even to a large extent Shopee and Lazada, then yes, you'll never get quality. However, we're talking about cars here, and, unlike those products, there are rigorous processes before a car can enter the market.

ReplyDeleteWhen a product is made in its home country, that means something special for the brand and for the country. It makes them both proud. For example, in general, the meaning of “Made in Japan” is thought as very high quality.
