BMW Philippines has quietly launched the BMW XM Label Red—the most powerful BMW M model ever made.
The high-performance super SUV makes use of the M Hybrid system to deliver a total of 753 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque from its electrified twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8. The electric motor alone generates 197 horsepower alone and comes with a distinctive sound typical of BMW M. A pre-gearing stage patented by BMW is used to increase the torque produced by the electric motor to an effective maximum of 450 Nm at the transmission input for the motor. As a result, the BMW XM Label Red needs just 3.8 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The standard-fitted adaptive M suspension Professional promises comfortable everyday usability. The entirety—shock absorbers, stabilizers, and even steering are all electronically controlled. The Active roll stabilization with active rolling comfort even counteracts side-to-side movements of the body—when cornering or driving over potholes and other obstacles.
The M Sport brakes comprise six-piston, fixed-caliper brakes at the front and single-piston, floating-caliper units at the rear. The system employs newly improved lightweight brake discs that strike a balance between performance and weight.
Finally, the standard M Sport differential of the BMW XM Label Red delivers the best possible performance on the road. It variably distributes the driving power between the rear wheels thus improving traction and driving stability in various situations.
The limited-edition BMW XM Label Red (only 500 is available globally) is immediately distinguishable with its Toronto Red metallic accents and BMW M kidney grille. The body color is finished in Frozen Carbon Black Metallic.
The BMW XM Label Red is available with a retail price of P 18.890 million and comes with a 5-year or 200,000 kilometer warranty.

ReplyDeleteBMW is a luxury brand like MIni and Rolls-Royce, and if they were under Renault's umbrella - which would help the French carmaker consider their German neighbors as a replacement to Nissan (which has been in Renault's orbit since 1999), therefore most of the BMW Group's vehicles would trade their own hardware for that of Renault/Dacia cars. That means the XM would be either possible or impossible to be turned into a Renault - but due to the crossover SUV trend then BMW's X crossover line may get discontinued and thus the German carmaker's traditional models like the 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 series would all switch to crossovers using Renault hardware... (Same as Dacia but the Romania-based automaker would be beneficial for BMW since the latter doesn't even have much manufacturing presences in Eastern Europe especially since Germany fell victim of the US-led sanctions on Russia.)
