Zeekr Launches In The Philippines With Zeekr 001 And Zeekr X

The Autohub Group of Companies has officially launched Zeekr in the Philippines. A maker of premium electric vehicles, it will start with two models—the Zeekr 001 (Zeekr 001 Long Range, Zeekr 001 Privilege) and Zeekr X (Zeekr X Premium, Zeekr X Priviledge).

Graced by the Autohub Group’s President Mr. Willy Tee Ten and Zeekr’s ASEAN Leader Mr. Alex Bao, the brand launch is the first of many markers of progress of the Autohub Group’s partnership with the leading electric vehicle manufacturer under the Geely Holding Group.

“The Zeekr vehicles that we are launching today, which push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, represent the Autohub Group’s commitment to introducing future-forward and sustainable mobility solutions that are tailor-fit to the Philippine market,” says Willy Tee Ten. “This grand launch marks only the beginning of an even stronger partnership with Zeekr to deliver the future of driving.”

Headquartered in Ningbo in Zhejiang Province in China, Zeekr is a combination of the words, “Generation Z” and “Geek.” Founded in 2021 and designed to compete with the likes of Tesla, Zeekr has the capacity to produce up to 300,000 vehicles a year. Aside from Ningbo, Zeekr also has R&D centers in Gothenburg in Sweden and Shanghai. Its design center is in both Gothenburg and Shanghai as well.

Zeekr uses Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) and includes its own battery technologies, battery management systems, electric motor technologies, and electric vehicle supply chain. This helps provide fast charging times.

“The launch of these Zeekr vehicles today will definitely accelerate the shift toward electric mobility solutions in the Philippines, which is a key market for us at Zeekr,” says Alex Bao. “We are confident that the Autohub Group, with its proven track record and strong market presence, can help push the Philippines toward more sustainable solutions and deliver more innovative products to Filipino consumers.”

Both the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X come with intelligent matrix LED projection headlights, equipped with adaptive driving beams that enhance night driving safety. The Zeekr 001, meanwhile has a full-width taillamp design that further emphasize its futuristic and stylish appearance.

Inside, both models offer a luxurious and comfortable interior, effortlessly combining the latest digital cockpit technology with premium materials. The four soft-close doors with frameless windows add a sense of drama into the serenely designed cabin. Inside, the space is relaxing to make every journey feel special. Features include a Yamaha premium speaker system, ventilated and massage seats. The interior is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chipset for a smooth, lag-free interface.

In terms of safety, the 2024 Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X have achieved prestigious 5-star ratings from the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP), setting a new benchmark in automotive safety and luxury.

The first Zeekr showroom will soon open on 32nd Street, Rizal Drive in Bonifacio Global City. For inquiries, customers may contact the Zeekr hotline at +63 906 243 4282 or email them at zeekrph [at] autohubgroup.com
