Chevrolet Switches Distributors In The Philippines

Chevrolet has officially switched distributors. Formerly distributed by The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), it’s now being distributed by HARIPHIL Asia Resources, Inc.

The move was formalized by HARIPHIL Asia Resources, Inc. Vice Chairman, President, and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo in a photo-op handshake with the General Motors’ International Strategic Markets, Alliances, and Distributors leadership team consisting of Business Planning Manager Misha Benisi, CFO Mitchell Early, President Ernesto Ortiz, Director of Operations Jungsuk Lee, and Sales Leader for Southeast Asia Anatolio Enderez.

With almost 25 years in automotive distribution and a commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, HARI aims to re-establish Chevrolet’s iconic status in the minds and sensibilities of today’s diverse market.

Separately, during Ms. Agudo’s meeting with the Chevrolet’s dealership network, she reported that the brand is showing positive signs of resurgence. Ms. Agudo reported 131 percent growth for the first half of 2024, beating the brand’s full year performance in 2023, and driven by the Tracker, Camaro, and Trailblazer.

Ms. Agudo also detailed the brand’s three-year roadmap to success, headlined by the introduction of new products, the opening of new dealerships in strategic growth areas of the country, and targets for 2024 to 2027.

“Taking a long view of HARI’s almost 25 years in the business, I clearly see how the ups and downs of our business accumulated to wins—because we refuse to stay down. We always get up, humbler but braver and wiser. I see history repeating itself as we embark on another breakthrough journey to fulfill General Motor’s vision to pioneer innovations that move and connect people in this broad and diverse world of ours,” she concluded.

  1. Given the starting letter, is HARI/HARIPHIL in relation to Hyundai and its Philippine subsidiary that's known as Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc.? It seems that Chevrolet in Southeast Asia (particularly in the Philippines) is in a similar position to Stellantis' Chrysler/Jeep brands there, so these two are in contrast to their fellow American carmaker Ford...

  6. What will be HARI Chevrolet's volume car, just as Ford had its Territory? What marque will TCCCI be left with - KGM? There is no noise from KG Mobility since the announcement TCCCI is carrying this.

    1. The aging Colorado pickup truck and Trailblazer PPV SUV aren't coming back due to very expensive importation costs issues as those vehicles are only produced in Brazil
Traverse ain't coming back due to pricing issues and the market and demand for that SUV isn't that high.
Silverado isn't gonna be available too nor its coming back
Malibu is out of production already in South Korea so its unlikely to come back..Production of it in North America ends in November
Express Van ain't coming back due to pricing issues

  14. Chevrolet brand reputation was badly tarnished by TCCi attorney's mismanagement. Super Expensive pricing of all its new models led to the death of this iconic American bowtie emblem. I hope this new distributor will give loyal Chevy fans a new Ride to enjoy and I'm one of them waiting.
