Geely Has Sold Over 3.86 Million Emgrand Sedans Around The World

The Geely Emgrand has reached a global sales milestone with over 3.86 million unit sold in 15 years. Exemplifying Geely’s desire to produce high-value cars, it’s their most popular sedan, and is sold in around 20 countries and regions globally.

Since the first-generation model rolled off the assembly line in 2007, the Emgrand has been building up a line-up made up of ICE, PHEV, battery EV, and even methanol power solutions. Such diversity, Geely says, adds to the Emgrand’s global appeal while also answering to the planet’s environmental challenges.

Every generation of Emgrand series is built with Geely’s ambition to accelerate innovation. The latest fourth-generation model is designed as a high-value global model that meets the needs of current trends.

Riding atop the Geely-developed BMA platform, the Emgrand is the best-selling Chinese A-class sedan in Saudi Arabia. It’s also one of the top-selling sedans in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, and the Philippines.

Geely Auto International sold more than 22,729 Emgrand models globally (excluding the Chinese market), representing an increase of 182 percent from 2022. In April 2024, the Emgrand’s deliveries achieved 3,592 units, compared with 1,124 units for 2023 April. In the Philippines, a total of 2,166 Emgrands were sold in 2023, and 354 units in 2024 so far.

“The enduring prosperity of the Emgrand lineup around the globe is solid proof of Geely’s advantages in design, advanced technology, and global sales network,” said Michael Song, Vice President of Geely Auto and General Manager of GAIC. “The sales achievement of 3.86 million units is a meaningful and cheerful milestone, we at Geely will keep hitting new records with our partners and users in the future.”

    2. Syempre as chinese brands just re-established in the country 5 years ago. Imagine the chinese auto industry achieved in a 10 year span.

    1. You're asking about its existence for around 10 years if it lasts, now you got answers to prove it lasts, and then you want him to provide data for the brand selling around the world like what the? :) You clearly are one of those who find problems to every solution.

  4. I think he is not asking for data. It is the eye test you cannot simply see old Chinese cars. There are old Korean cars in the road. Chinese none.E ven if in Oman there are chi cars running, it is an anomaly because the rest of the world maybe except Oman and China chi old cars doesn't exist.
