In case you can’t make it this October to the Mazda Fan Festa 2024 at the Fuji International Speedway, another Fan Festa is slated in November.
This time it will be held at the Okayama International Circuit in Takinomiya, Mimasaka City, Okayama Prefecture. Set your dates because the two-day event is slated on Saturday, November 9 to Sunday, November 10 from 8 AM to 5 PM, rain or shine. The main focus of this Fan Festa? The Mazda MX-5.
With the MX-5 (aka Miata) celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, Mazda is using the Fan Festa 2024 Okayama to have owners, fans, and enthusiasts have a deeper appreciation of the world’s best-selling open-top sportscar.
On hand at the two-day event are roundtables with past development chiefs, a demonstration run of various MX-5 models, and an exhibition of past MX-5 models. In addition, content will have Fan Festa attendees know more about the MX-5’s story from development to manufacturing.
It is also likely that Mazda will use the occasion to unveil the previously-announced MX-5 35th Anniversary Edition.
Of course, with Mazda being Mazda, there will be participatory events such as parade runs, hot laps for Mazda owners, a racing course bus tour, Gran Turismo esport sim runs, and yes, demo runs of the Le Mans winning Mazda 787B.
A leg of the Mazda Roadster Party Race III, Mazda Fan Endurance, and Mazda Fan Circuit Trial will also be held.
General admission tickets and special experience passes are scheduled to go on sale on Monday, September 2. Advanced ticket prices are 3,300 yen per person, while same day purchases will cost 3,500 yen per person.
Details about the event, information on various content, and experience reservations will be posted on the official event website in due course.
Tickets will be sold exclusively through Lawsons or on the Okayama International Circuit official website.
