VinFast PH Details Battery Subsciption Plan For VF5

Last week, VinFast Philippines finally priced their first market offering: the VF5 sub-compact EV SUV. Though the price is attractive enough at P 1,191,000, some may find it still a bit out of reach. This is where VinFast Philippines’ unique battery subscription plan comes in.

Under the battery subscription program, the VF5’s price drops to just P 992,000. However, VF5 owners will have to pay P 5,800 monthly to drive 1,500 kilometers—that’s about 50 kilometers a day on average. Cost-wise, this is about P 3.86 per kilometer.

In terms of after-sales services, VinFast will offer a 7-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty. For customers opting for battery subscription, VinFast provides free maintenance and battery replacement if the maximum battery capacity falls below 70 percent ensuring a worry-free experience for customers throughout their vehicle ownership.

Regardless of whether you want to purchase the VF5 with the battery outright or go for the monthly battery subscription, you can reserve a VF5 with just a P 5,000 refundable deposit.

VF5 intenders will receive a direct discount of P 50,000 and freebies worth more than P 50,000 per vehicle.

Customers will also receive support when completing the purchase through bank loan—P 69,000 with battery subscription and P 99,000 for without battery subscription.

Until August 5, VinFast is offering an attractive promotion for customers reserving the VF5 without battery subscription. Customers stand a chance to win one of 100 discounts of P 95,000 in a raffle.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, CEO of VinFast Philippines, shared: “We are delighted to officially enter the Philippines, one of Southeast Asia’s most promising electric vehicle markets. By launching the VF 5 and introducing our unique battery subscription program to local consumers, we reaffirm our commitment to providing high-quality, affordable products with excellent after-sales services. We hope that VinFast electric cars will soon become the daily mode of transportation for everyone, contributing to the green transportation movement in the Philippines.”

As a trendy urban vehicle, the VinFast VF5 features a youthful design with various interior/exterior color options and is equipped with advanced technologies such as automatic vehicle fault diagnosis, intrusion monitoring and alert, remote software updates, basic cruise control, blind-spot warning, and more.

  1. hmm interesting concept but expensive in the long run, we expect cost of batteries to drop by more than half in the next 5 years. that's Php 348k for 5 years.

  2. It's just like taking out the difference and amortizing it for 5 years with free battery maintenance as incentive.
