VinFast may have had their big brand launch last June to signify its entrance in the Philippine market, but it took an additional month to get their first showrooms off the ground. Now, the first three retail sites of Vietnam’s home-grown brand have been identified and are all opening simultaneously on July 16.
On that date, VinFast will officially inaugurate and open its three pioneering dealers based on a social media post on their official Facebook page (see photo below):
- VinFast EDSA in Mandaluyong City
- VinFast Aseana in Paranaque City
- VinFast Alabang in Muntinlupa City
To recall, during its brand launch, VinFast signed four dealer groups with plans to open in six locations before the end of 2024.
VinFast is exploring the introduction of the popular mini e-SUV, the VF 3, to the Philippine market. Additionally, the company is researching the potential for electric motorbikes and electric bicycles.
To address the varying needs of Filipino consumers, VinFast will offer both car purchases with batteries and a unique battery subscription policy. This subscription option aims to lower the initial cost of electric vehicles, making them more accessible for Filipino consumers.
VinFast will offer a 7 to 10-year warranty on vehicles. Additionally, for those who choose the battery subscription policy, VinFast offers a free battery replacement and maintenance program if the battery capacity falls below 70 percent. This comprehensive plan provides peace of mind for Filipino customers throughout their ownership journey.
I think VinFast cars right after they are already sold in their respective showrooms in the Philippines would go pricier just as they're mostly EVs and not traditional and thus decent ICE-powered cars, so even when the rest of the Philippines may attempt to buy and drive VinFast products, then as given how the rest of VinFast's cars were started from Korean GM hardware means Filipinos may just treat VinFast vehicles like how they did the same thing with Chevrolet products - being sold in the Philippine market - even today.
ReplyDeleteMaybe since VinFast also hails from Southeast Asia (Vietnam), then while Renault is already hooked with Geely towards a joint venture, I suggest that Renault would also attempt to partner with VinFast so that Renault would expand its presence in the Southeast Asian market - even if Renault were to acquire BMW for example. (Since its not a mistake to think that VinFast also started to build cars using BMW's hardware.)
They're doing it the VinFast way!
