The Mitsubishi Gateway Group has announced that the 2025 Montero Sport is now available at all its 13 dealership locations nationwide.
Refreshed for the 2025 model year, the Montero Sport’s “remaster” includes a new grille design with a more aggressive insert. Across all models, it has refreshed headlights, bumpers, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Exclusive to the top-trim Black Series are the gloss black exterior accents found on the under garnish, wheels, roof, and roof rails. The trademark Dynamic Shield grille is also illuminated.
For colors, four are available for 2025:
- Blade Silver Metallic: GLX, GLS
- Jet Black Mica: (all variants)
- Graphite Gray Metallic w/ Black Roof: Black Series
- White Diamond w/ Black Roof: Black Series
Differentiating the variants, the GLX 2WD MT receives a smaller infotainment screen (7-inch versus 8-inch) and a rear camera. Both non-Black Series variants—the GLX 2WD MT and GLS 2WD AT—also have manual seats, a manual tailgate, and a single-zone climate control system with a rear cooler. The base GLX 2WD MT also has less airbags (2 versus 6), a hand-type parking brake, and no Keyless Operation System (it does have a push-button start/stop for the ignition).
On the other end, the Black Series models have all the trappings of a luxury SUV: dual zone climate control with nanoe X air cleaning tech, a 220-volt power inverter, 8-way power seats for the front occupants, two-tone synthetic heat-reflecting leather seats in black and burgundy, and Mitsubishi’s ADAS suite. The Black Series 4WD is the only variant to get a sunroof.
Powering the Montero Sport remains a Euro 4 compliant 2.4-liter 4N15 with 181 horsepower and 430 Nm. The GLX 2WD MT has a 6-speed manual, while other models have an 8-speed automatic. Paddle shifters are standard on all AT variants.

With discounts, the GLX can be had for 1.298m. Much better value that Xpander Cross and Xforce for similar price. No traction control and stability control though, which is surprising in 2024. At 1.568m however, it is absolutely not worth it.

ReplyDeleteAgree. The color temp of the grille LEDs dont even match those of the DRLs in the headlight! Even more interesting, it seems only PH spec units have this design feature..
