2025 MINI Family Arrives With P 3.3M Starting Price

Philippines, welcome the new Mini family. The 2025 range, composed of the Cooper and Countryman comes in both internal combustion and, for the first time ever, all-electric powertrains for the local market.

Both the all-new Cooper and Countryman take on Mini’s new “Charismatic Simplicity” design language. The lines are purer, cleaner than ever before with details that include flush door handles, absence of fender flares and side skirts. Proportionally, it keeps its typical Mini proportions like the short hood, long wheelbase, and big wheels. Upfront, it keeps its trademark round headlights, while at the back, vertically-oriented taillights—a callback to classic Mini models.

The Countryman is now higher and longer than ever, fully embracing its SUV/crossover positioning. Its wider wheel arches adds to its ruggedness.

Inside, the all-new Cooper and Countryman take on the same minimalist design. There’s a round instrument cluster at the center and the characteristic toggle bar below. The toggle bar controls the driving functions. The gear selector has also moved to the center console freeing up space for stage and a wireless charger. Putting sustainability front-and-center, the knitted surfaces are made of recycled polyester, while the seats are trimmed in synthetic leather seats called Vescin.

The Countryman, meanwhile, is the largest and most spacious Mini ever. This offers it a higher degree of adaptability. The cargo hold accommodates 460 liters of luggage, growing up to 1,450 liters with the rear seats folded down. An underfloor compartment hides all the charging accessories in the all-electric variant.

The infotainment system itself is powered by the new Mini Operating System 9. Powered by the Android Open Source Project, the interface is much more intuitive and personalized than ever. Everything is displayed via the high-resolution OLED display with a 240 mm diameter (9.5 inches) and can be controlled by an intelligent Mini Intelligent Personal Assistant.

The all-electric Mini Cooper is powered by a 212-horsepower (160 kW) motor with 330 Nm. 0-100 km/h takes 6.7 seconds and top speed is 170 km/h. With a battery capacity of 54.2-kWh, the range maxes out at 402 kilometers. With up to 95-kW fast-charging capability, it can be topped up from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. On the other hand, the turbocharged Cooper continues with its 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This one makes 204 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. With a 7-speed DCT, it goes from 0-100 km/h in 6.6 seconds.

The all-electric Mini Countryman takes things a step further. As the Countryman SE ALL4 variant, the dual electric motors provide a combined 304 horsepower (230 kW) and 494 Nm of torque. 0-100 km/h is done in 5.6 seconds, while top speed is 180 km/h. Battery capacity, at 66.5-kWh, provides up to 433 kilometers on a single charge. Direct charging can be done up to 130-kW—higher than the Cooper. A more traditional combustion engine version with the same engine as the Cooper SE is available.

The 2025 Mini family is priced as follows:
  • 2025 Mini Cooper SE – P 3,699,000
  • 2025 Mini Cooper SE Electric – P 3,300,000
  • 2025 Mini Countryman SE – P 4,299,000
