Here Are The Full Specs Of The 2025 JAC Ytterby EV (w/ Brochure)

JAC Philippines, distributed by Astara Philippines, launches the all-new Ytterby EV alongside the official inauguration of JAC Pasig—its newest dealership in Metro Manila.

The all-electric compact is now available for viewing at JAC Pasig which is located on E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue corner Jose Cruz Street in Barangay Barrio Ugong. Managed by the Autohub Group, the new dealer features a capacious 12-car display and is the first of seven JAC Philippines dealerships to be officially inaugurated this 2024.

“Given our excellent working relationship with Astara Philippines, it was only natural for us to start distributing the value-packed models from JAC Philippines,” said Autohub Group President and CEO Willy Tee Ten.

“We sincerely believe that being part of the JAC Philippines family will contribute to the new heights that the Autohub Group will reach this year,” he added. “We are also proud to serve as the venue for the launch of the all-new Ytterby EV. Our dedicated team is ready to serve our clients in Pasig City, as well as in various parts of the Metro.”

JAC Philippines Brand Head Tonette Lee said the all-new Ytterby is the latest innovation in EV cars resulting from 60 years of engineering experience from one of the first automobile producers in China. It bolsters JAC Philippines’ position as a brand that offers among the widest array of dependable and cost-efficient passenger cars in the Philippine market.

“The launch of the all-new Ytterby is timely as EVs steadily become more mainstream in the Philippines because of their ability to provide clean and cost-efficient mobility,” she said.

“With the launch of the all-new Ytterby, leading edge does not have to mean out of reach, with all its technology and features, this vehicle is surprisingly accessible,” Lee added. “This stylish and practical EV complements our lineup of attractive and value-packed models that we believe every Filipino deserves.”

The Ytterby carries JAC’s “Bubble Aesthetics Design” philosophy. It incorporates features such as the large LED headlights with circular DRLs and a steeply raked windshield with Low-E construction that reduces heat, glare, and UV radiation in the cabin. Other features include the tri-color petal wheels (16-inchers for the Air 405 and 17-inchers for the Pro 505), electrically-retractable door handles, a blacked-out D-pillar, and square LED taillights.

It comes in five colors for the Philippine market: Beige, Purple, Blue, White, and Gray.

The Ytterby comes in two variants: the Air 405 and Pro 505. The former has a maximum range of 405 kilometers thanks to its 41-kWh battery, while the latter’s 51.5-kWh battery goes for 505 kilometers maximum. The Air 405 is powered by a 94 horsepower, 135 Nm electric motor, while the Pro 505 has 134 horsepower and 175 Nm.

Regardless of output, the motor features the innovative 9-in-1 Electric Drive system that integrates nine system components such as the motor, reducer, AC/DC system, and high-voltage power distributor into one compact unit. This results in impressive efficiency as well as improved cabin space.

Using a DC fast charger (GBT for the Air 405 and CCS Type 2 for the Pro 505), the Ytterby’s battery can be replenished from 30 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. Meanwhile, a full charge using the supplied 7-kWh home charger takes only 7.5 to 9 hours, depending on the model.

Inside, a 6.2-inch full LCD instrument cluster, leather seats, smart keyless entry with push-button engine start/stop, 64-color ambient lighting, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless charger, and charging ports for both front and rear occupants are standard. The Pro 505 has been upgraded with a larger infotainment screen (15.6-inch versus 12.8-inch), power front seats with ventilation, and a panoramic sunroof.

The Ytterby scores a 5-star safety rating from the C-NCAP (Chinese New Car Assessment Program) Besides standard front, side and curtain airbags, a seatbelt-off warning, and child-restraint anchors, the EV’s safety is further enhanced by the zero-thermal-runaway honeycomb battery that can handle major collisions without catching fire. The Ytterby Pro 505 features Level 2 Assisted Driving that not only intervenes in case of an imminent collision, but also allows owners to enjoy long trips with greater comfort.

The Ytterby Air 405 is priced at P 1,195,000, while the Pro 505 costs P 1,320,000. Both variants also come with 6-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first), 8-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first) on main power battery and integrated electric drive assembly, and a free 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance for the first year. The units come with free portable charger, and a free home charger (installation covered by the owner).

Meanwhile, JAC International Regional Director for Asia Pacific (LHD) Jessica Ji emphasized the importance of the Philippine market in the carmaker’s overall growth.

“As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we are also looking to the future with excitement and optimism,” she said in her speech. “Together with our partner, Astara, we are dedicated to making JAC Motors a household name in the Philippines, bringing a better driving experience and a new automotive lifestyle to Filipino users.”

  1. I am confused. I know for a ffact that the Ytterby uses NCA Cellular battery like the brochure screenshot there. But I see currently in their brochure that they are saying it uses LFP. Does anyone know the complete story about this? Is someone inaccurate or did JAC decide to change it? Also what would be the updated range now because of it?
