Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) marked another milestone with the ceremonial handover of the Ioniq 5 N (read our review) and Elantra N to the Philippines’ first batch of Hyundai N customers. The momentous event took place last September 7.
Mr. Dongwook Lee, HMPH President, Mr. Cecil Capacete, HMPH Managing Director, and Mr. Jeesang Kim, N Brand Strategy Team Manager, were present at the ceremony. 18 N units were officially turned over to customers.
The handover ceremony was highlighted by a drift stunt exhibition at the Okada Manila Boardwalk, by Autocraft Drift Philippines, namely Mr. Audel Sison, better known as his stage name Dr. Drift, in the Ioniq 5 N. Followed by his daughters, Ms. Ariane Sison, Sister Drift, and Ms. Ashley Sison, Daughter Drift, in the Elantra N. Professional Korean drifter and D Spec Motorsports Team CEO, Mr. Sungu Cho, also graced the event to showcase the original Ioniq 5 N Drift Spec from South Korea. The thrilling performance further exemplified the exciting capabilities of the 2024 World Performance Car, the Ioniq 5 N. Both the Elantra N and Ioniq 5 N (watch our review) embody the three Hyundai N pillars, namely: Corner Rascal, Everyday Sportscar, and Racetrack Capability.
Following the successful launch of the Elantra N and Ioniq 5 N at the Manila International Auto Show last April 2024, this ceremonial handover marks the start of a new chapter for Hyundai N in the country. With the N Car Meets series and the N Pop-up Store at Karrera Showroom also fostering a new community of N-thusiasts, the Elantra N and Ioniq 5 N has established itself as Hyundai Motor Philippines’ halo vehicles for high performance technology and exciting driving (read our Hyundai Driving Experience at the Nurburgring).
“Hyundai N plays a crucial role in redefining high performance driving in the Philippines, highlighting our commitment to provide innovative and future-ready mobility options for all Filipinos. This event is not just a handover ceremony, but a testament to our dedication to pushing the boundaries of automotive technology,” Mr. Dongwook Lee, HMPH President, said in his special message to the pioneer Hyundai N customers in the Philippines.
Afterwards, the track was officially opened to all customers by HMPH Managing Director, Mr. Cecil Capacete, for a drift taxi ride where customers got to see and feel the thrill of N firsthand, led by the D Spec Team, as well as Autocraft Drift Philippines.
Interested customers can view the Elantra N and Ionoiq 5 N and purchase exclusive N merchandise at the Hyundai N Dealerships located in Alabang, Commonwealth, Makati, and Pasig.
gtrat!!!
ReplyDeleteI counted only 3 Elantra Ns. Im surprised that more peeps bought the Ionic 5 N. Id wager Elantra N will suffer the same fate as the WRX unless they reduce the price to less than Php2.4M
ReplyDeleteLocal sales volumes of WRX,GR86 and BRZ are way better than the Elantra N
DeleteProblem with the Elantra N is its steep price and it lacked appeal or special features in it.
How much are the N cars?
