Lexus Philippines has announced a special service campaign on 699 different vehicles in connection with its front and rearview cameras.
The Japanese premium carmaker has announced that several batches of the Lexus ES, LS, NX, RX, RZ, and UX may experience camera separation due to insufficient laser welding in production. If left unrectified, this can cause water to leak into the camera causing a short circuit and/or the failure to display images of the areas in front or behind the vehicle.
Lexus has identified the affected units (see below) and will require the inspection and/or replacement of either the front or rear camera (or both). The remedy will be performed at no charge to vehicle owners.
The affected models are:
- Lexus ES (177 units) – produced from February 20, 2023 to August 23, 2023
- Lexus LS (44 units) – produced from April 20, 2023 to September 5, 2023
- Lexus LX (33 units) – produced from February 20, 2023 to July 29, 2023
- Lexus NX (3 units) – produced from December 20, 2022 to February 23, 2023
- Lexus RX (349 units) – produced from November 16, 2022 to August 4, 2023
- Lexus RZ (41 units) – produced from February 20, 2023 to July 21, 2023
- Lexus UX (52 units) – produced from January 20, 2023 to April 4, 2023

ReplyDeleteCutting costs and poor quality control which is common problem now by Toyota,Daihatsu and Lexus
DeleteVery Good customers care, after sales
ReplyDeleteThe build quality of Toyota,Daihatsu and even made in Japan Lexus vehicles in the Philippine market are terrible
ReplyDeleteRecalls again
Toyota should really focus more on improving and increasing the standards of the build quality of their vehicles.
Even Lexus vehicles are affected now
Dude its just a recall for a camera. Relax.
DeleteIn europe, japan, korea, USA, car makers always issue recall even for a minor issues. China car makers just stay quite and just let car buyers fend for themselves, unless of course if the rear axle separated
