Lotus Philippines Launches Emeya Electric Grand Tourer With P 8-Million Starting Price

Coinciding with the opening of their new showroom, Lotus Philippines has unveiled the Emeya—its first four-door electric grand tourer.

Exclusively distributed by Autohub Group, the Emeya comes in six colors: Boreal Gray, Fireglow Orange, Solar Yellow, Akoya White, Stellar Black, and Kaimu Gray and in three variants: the Emeya (P 8 million), Emeya S (P 8.5 million), and Emeya R (P 9.5 million).

At the heart of the Emeya’s innovations is an active aero system where the front grille, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler all work together. Moreover, a low center of gravity, dubbed “hyperstance” by Lotus, and electronically controlled air suspension increases its handling and stability without any detriment to ride refinement and smoothness.

The Emeya packs a dual electric motor system producing up to 905 horsepower and 985 Nm of torque. This allows it to achieve a top speed of 256 km/h, 0 to 100 km/h of under 2.8 seconds, and 80 to 120 km/h in less than two seconds. This makes it one of the quickest cars in the world.

The advanced twin-layer battery is designed with cooling in mind and this helps the Emeya deliver greater performance repeatability even under extreme driving conditions. It also helps provide greater real-world driving range between charges (up to 610 kilometers per Lotus).

Up to five driving modes including Range, Tour, Sport, Individual, and Track. Drivers can control the ride height, air suspension stiffness, acceleration response, seat configuration (with adjustable side bolsters), and more, to optimize efficiency, performance, and comfort in any environment.

Providing owners the confidence when they’re traveling, the Emeya will have the same sort of range as the Eletre SUV. It can add 150 kilometers of range with just five minutes of charging using a 350-kW DC fast charger. Its 102-kWh battery can be boosted up to 80 percent in just 18 minutes.

Consciously designed with advanced, yet sustainable materials, the Emeya uses a new luxury thread made of repurposed fibers as well as PVD aluminum, Alcantara, nappa leather, and Ultrafabrics PU. A spacious trunk with up to 509 liters of storage offers everyday usability, supplemented by a 31-liter front trunk or frunk.

When it comes to in-car entertainment, the Emeya has an audio system developed with KEF. It uses KEF’s award-winning Uni-Q speaker design and Uni-Core space-saving subwoofer. It also has Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound capability—first seen in the Lotus Eletre SUV as well as integrated noise cancellation.

The driver has an expansive 55-inch heads-up display, while at the center is a 15.1-inch high-definition OLED display powered by Unreal Engine.

Two NVIDIA Drive Orin systems-on-a-chip (SoCs), which are used to process data from 34 state-of-the-art surround sensors up to 30 times a second, offering 360-degree perception with no blind spots; and with four deployable LiDARs, 18 radars, seven 8 megapixel cameras and five 2 megapixel cameras, it ensures unparalleled driver confidence by scanning for obstacles at a radius of up to 200 meters around the car, in every direction, even in low light or inclement weather. The system even reconstructs a virtual environment around the vehicle to define the best trajectory.

Willy Tee Ten, President of the Autohub Group expressed, “We are so excited to be bringing the all-new Emeya to the Philippines. This launch marks a new era in luxury electric vehicles, blending advanced aerodynamics with unparalleled performance and everyday usability. This vehicle exemplifies Autohub Group’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry.”

Dan Balmer, President and CEO of Lotus Cars Asia Pacific and Middle East commented, “The arrival of Lotus Emeya is set to redefine the benchmark of sustainable luxury driving in the Philippine market. We are thrilled to bring this revolutionary vehicle to passionate Filipino drivers who seek the best in both technology and driving experience.”

As a special offer for the Lotus Emeya Debut, Lotus Manila is providing complimentary XPPF Paint Protection Film along with a VK Series V-Kool Tint and a 7-kW home charger for customers who reserve until 31 October 2024.

    1. If it's made in its homeland then it would make sense. Unfortunately, it's made in none other than China.
